Just looked at the BGNews and all sports stories were about BG teams. I was stunned.

I imagine they get a pretty big news hole on Monday, so that's doubly impressive.

I think readers do want to know about the outside world. Problem is, unless things have changed, I don't know that the paper was ever well equipped to run agate (scores, standings, etc.) -- which would probably be the best way to communicate a whole lot in the tight space they have to work with.

When I was at the News, we would just plop one story to fill a hole -- an Indians story, a Browns story, maybe the big sports story of the day. I never thought it was enough, because it wasn't like the paper was ever consistent about covering these things.

We tried hard. But there was always room for improvement.

My take.

I was a little taken back in the big blunder they made on the hockey headline. We played Michigan State, not Michigan. HUGE DIFFERENCE!

Yeah, that was me. And there was a "St." there. I give my pages to the copy editors and they make changes though so who knows what happened. It could have actually been behind the guide line down the side because there is 1 pica of white space on either side.

ALSO!!! To BGorDeath...We are the BG News. When we only have enough room to run our sports, that is fine with us! If you want to read about something else, try the Blade or watch television. Not trying to be rude, but BG Athletics come first since we are a campus newspaper...

I wasn't complaining that I only saw BG sports news. Normally, when I pick one up when I'm in town there is normally only one story on BG sports. I was stunned because of the joy I was feeling in my loins at that moment to know that BG students could only read about BG sports and only BG sports with that particular edition in hopes that they, too, would feel the same joy in their loins and take that as a sign that they should attend one of those teams games so they could experience the joy in their loins live and in person.

Just tryin' to make a sarcastic point. I should stop tryin' to do that. 9 times out of 10 it goes over everyone's head.

I'd argue it struck a little lower.

I can honestly say that of all the merits of the BG News a joy in my loins has never been one of them.

Do they have a porno section now? I haven't read one in awhile.

Maybe Platinum Showgirls is a new advertiser and is including a two-for-one couch dance coupon.

I thought Dejavu was the one who advertised in the BGNews.

If that's the case, I gotta pick me up a couple issues and get up there! :)

Did I forget to mention that the two-for-one coupon is really for you and a buddy to get a couch dance at the same time? Still ready to go up there hammb?

Cool, I'll just go with a female friend. Some of the best couch dances I've ever had were alongside of a female friend of mine...you usually get a really good show that way!
