Losing recruits
Looking at ay ziggy.com, BG has lost TWO more verbals. One is the kid front BEDFORD, A SOLID 2 way player, perhaps better on defense. I don’t know who the other one is, but we’re down to SIX kids at least according to ay zig.
I’m amazed that we have ANY left.
New coaching staff will have to work like Crazy to save this early recruiting season.
Kids don’t want to play for losers.

Re: Losing recruits
Pelini said something in his presser a few weeks about having 11-13 kids committed, so there are probably more that the staff feels good about than the public knows about.
It stinks to lose guys, but that's expected during any time of transition.

One thing I HAVE noticed is the number of kids from Ohio... IF they stay of course.
OL from Ignatius, RB/ LB from N . Olmsted, had a DB from Bedford ( who just decommited, now this kid from Hubbard. Be nice to see us as a factor in home state again.

Re: Losing recruits
Now add a kid from Highland, whose coach says he’s the best he’s ever coached. Slot receiver type at 5’9”, 170 or so.

Re: Losing recruits
I love those kids who nobody gives a real chance yet everyone around says are incredible. Marquise Brown at Oklahoma is a perfect example.Class of 61 wrote:Now add a kid from Highland, whose coach says he’s the best he’s ever coached. Slot receiver type at 5’9”, 170 or so.

Re: Losing recruits
BG's had a good recent history of slot guys or slot-like guys that can also return kicks/punts and occasionally be a wildcat.
Cole Magner
Cory Partridge
Ryan Burbrink
Ronnie Moore
Scotty Miller
Maybe this kid can be the next one.

Re: Losing recruits
Again, BG appears to be refocused on NE Ohio area, a good year to do so, as region dominated state championships this year. I’ve said many times before that BGs most successful years have come with a HEAVY influence from NE Ohio. I’m honestly wondering if Pelini has helped rise the image and “footprint” of BG in the area.

Re: Losing recruits
Did anyone notice Urban Meyers tweet saying in effect he’ll always be a Falcon, Speaks highly of Loeffler as our new coach and talks about getting more Ohio kids.
Now that he’s gone from OSU, could we use a new recruiting coordinator?

I assumed that was coming. He was strictly a Jinks commit. I'd guess he's headed to Texas State where the WVU OC just took over.jpfalcon09 wrote:Holgorsen has de-committed from BG.

Where did you read this? I haven't seen anything yet.
Also, is BG 247sports pretty slow on updates?
