Yes I quoted the definitive independent NFL grading service. The service that all 32 teams subscribe to and utilize.

Are they the be all end all? Of course not. But when I watch the games and clearly see Nick Chubb, peppers, and others playing at a very high level it is no surprise to see their PFF grades coincide.

If you prefer traditional stats Nick Chubb is the #17 fantasy back in my ppr league while only starting 5 games and getting less than 3 carries in each of the first 6 games.

Anybody that doesn't think Nick Chubb has been one of the best backs in the NFL this year hasn't been watching.

In this draft class alone I’d rather have Barkley. Michel. Johnson. Probably Penny when he gets used. I’m no fan of Freeman.

It’s honeslty one of the most ridiculous homer takes ive ever seen. I watch tons of football. All of the teams. Chubb isn’t in the top half of the starting RBs i’d want.

They have to play peppers so far off the ball because he’s so terrible.

Cool. I would rather have Barkley obviously. And I think the browns actually wanted penny before Seattle traded up. And any of those guys could conceivably have better careers than Chubb.

But this year, other than Saquon, Chubb has been better than all of them. To deny that is to deny what has actually happened on the field. Chubb looks like the back he was before his injury, and that back was far and away better as a freshman than any of these guys.

Ah. So I assume you have yet to watch him this season where he has been a box safety since they signed Randall to be the FS?

The fact that he made that statement about where Peppers is playing -- tells me he hasn't watched one Browns game. Otherwise, he wouldn't have said that. It's completely inaccurate.

I didn't say he did it every play. I said because he's horrible they have to do it. It's also why his snap counts are all over the place.

Re: the actual BG game -
- they went to the lineup of Frye, Turner, Matiss, Plowden, Wiggins for the last 8 minutes or so of the game and did not sub. This was by far our best lineup of the game after Drexel went zone in the 2nd half.
- Frye had his best defensive game I've ever seen him play.
- Matiss was much more effective defensively than I would have thought he was capable of a few weeks back - was very active blocking/challenging shots and rebounding. He appears to be making more and more progress rehabbing that knee
- Matiss had only 1 open look vs the zone and it went down and rattled out. But it was clear his presence was opening driving lanes for Turner. He also had the highest +/- on the team for the game.
- Plowden had some terrific rebounds in traffic. He will be an asset against athletic MAC teams. Drexel also fouled to stop a 2 on 0 fast break where Plowden surely would have had a big time dunk. Most disappointing part of the game
- Mattos and Gadson will both need quicker feet to help us in MAC play.
- Lasted is perfect for the role he is in, a change of pace guard off the bench. Its VERY clear he favors his left hand though, and will need to show effectiveness going right.
- all in all, good team win with lots of contributors, excited to see this group grow.

Re: the browns
-baker is the guy, no doubt about it.
-assets are there for this to continue to improve and quickly
-defense was a top 10 unit before the injury bug got them, they are just starting to get healthy again. Look out.
LONG LIVE THE MONGOOSE!!
