We are going to dominate Green Bay if they have never heard of a zone.

Good game so far. 49-27. Sierra sets some nice screens at the mid line. He is a solid guy. I would hate to run into that wall.

10 points and 13 rebounds at the half. Who lit a fire under Wiggin's backside? The points would be acceptable and rebounds good for an entire game.
Man I hope GB doesn't learn to play zone during halftime.

97-68 FINAL! HOLY COW! Did we recruit some new kids since the CSU fiasco? Can’t wait to see boX score. Let’s see if hockey can make it a “3 peat” tonight. ( women also won.)

Saw the second half. They didn't run zone. And we scored a bunch.
I thought Caleb Fields was starting as punishment for Lillard or something but he looks good. Technically we are still sort of a young team now with 1 Fr, 2 So, 1 Jr and 1 Sr starting. A bit of a jump now that 2 seniors were benched.
Mattis scored 6 points in 6 minutes. I think he has star potential.
19 rebounds for the NCAA leader moving that average up.

I did notice they went to a zone when the game was all but lost. When they did, our offense started to stall but then it seemed like we figured it out somewhat. The change in defense really threw us off.
That was our first game of the season. We had fun!

I wasn't able to follow the game yesterday, but I'm certainly happy with the result.
Now that we've clearly proven we can do it, the challenge becomes consistency.

Marlon Sierra: 1) set wicked picks at mid-court 2) got 8 rebounds and 7 points 3) handles the ball well on the floor and passing 4) provides the bigger/stronger body frame this team needs. Sierra, in my opinion, is the key bench player that this team has needed. He is the biggest difference I saw last night and he made everyone else on the team better.
Consistency is the biggest issue, can a coach fix it? Only if the players buy in. When they play well this is good basketball to watch and last night we saw 30-35 minutes of good basketball and they won easily. The pieces are there, it just matters how they work together moving forward. My hope is they're putting it together.
