Good to know. Now if only we could find a player to take that scholarship.

My apologies if this information is in another thread, but -- since the NCAA allows 13 scholarships for men's basketball, and we had 14 on the roster (prior to Gardner joining) -- apparently we have two players on our team (other than Gardner) who are not on scholarship? Who might those players be? I'll hang up and listen.

Ethan Good and DeAndre Austin are both walk ons.

Gotcha. I suspected Good was probably a walk-on, but forgot all about Austin. Thanks!

To be honest that’s speculation too because I think Good was given a scholarship for half the year last year.

Pretty sure you're right that he earned the honorary Huger "may as well give it to somebody" scholarship last year. Fox got to keep his after earning it, so maybe Good did as well? Fox earned it though; wasn't great but proved over the years worthy of rotation minutes and the scholarship.

Afaik Good was supposed to be only last year and I had assumed we were down one again this year. In the end I'm not sure it matters is we don't use it or if Good has it...neither is wise. Too bad we cannot roll them over like NFL cap space.
