Winning close games matters. Lets do this.

We tend to fall apart in these situations. ITs a great time to grow. and stop doing that.

Plowden had the game of his life, played good defense to go along with his rebounding and scoring.

Turner was money in the first half but mostly quiet in the second until a big 3 late.

Frye was aggressive in the first and also mostly quiet in the second until a big late 3.

Lillard was huge drawing a ton of fouls and some big takeaways late.

Frye, Turner, and Lillard all got their hands on balls defensively late. I think we poked 4-5 balls free for turnovers in the last 5 mins. Those plays were huge given our inability to create anything on offense.

Wiggins was awesome on the boards but he is a Trainwreck offensively against anybody with any size. I cannot fathom why we keep insisting on feeding him in the post isolated. He has no moves, struggles with touch, and is completely incapable of passing out of the double team. When we let off the 11-0 run in the first half to give up our high lead it was like 5 possessions in a row that we forced it into Wiggins to have it either result in turnovers or horrible shots. Something needs to change with we operate offensively with him.

Fields played some good defense early but wasn't on the floor much in the second.

Mattos played like one possession and had a huge put back layup late in the first. Great to see a guy that barely plays do that.

Our offense has got to get back to moving the ball. Tonight was ugly but was saved with some great free throw shooting, and key defensive plays. Great to win a game where you don't play your best. Hope the snow isn't too awful for Saturday because I don't want to miss it.

Glad we won. We tried to throw it away late protecting a one possession lead.

Last 30 seconds we couldn’t inbound the ball three times and got bailed out with a questionable foul a fourth time.

Why can’t Huger design a play that doesn’t put the ball in the corner where they can trap us? Had to use a TO, got tied up for a jump ball, and Lillard gets a 5 second call for not throwing the ball in.

Lucky to come out with the W. On against WMU on Saturday.

I had a great time at the Stroh tonight. I hope more people start coming out to games and we really pack the place.

8 in a row, 9-0 at home, 4-0 on the MAC. Next chance for a win is WMU on Saturday. Let's go Falcons!

Looks like WMU is pretty bad. This is a trap game?

They hung tight with Buffalo (lost by 9) and soon to be #1 Michigan (lost by 8), so our boys better not overlook them.

We weren’t able to make this game due to prior commitments, but we are planning to be at the Western game. This sounded like a thrilling nail biter!

That series of inbounds plays/execution was awful. Not sure I've ever watched a team get 2nd and 3rd chances on a single inbounds, and STILL fail to get the ball in bounds.

It seems to me that things like continuing to try and feed Wiggins when it isn't working, and the struggles in-bounding, are continuing red flags where Huger's coaching is concerned. What's that (all too often repeated) definition of insanity again? :axe:

Agreed.

It's also back to back games where we had double digit leads evaporate rather quickly. Not coincidentally our second game in a row with poor assist totals as well. Last night was just abysmal...I think they said on the radio 6? 6 assists? In a 40 minute game? Could the lack of ball movement have contributed to the fact that we were like 15-53 shooting at one point (Not sure what it finished).

Astonishingly we shot 40% from 3, but considerably worse from 2...
