Verbal Commitments reported that 6'7" JUCO SF Jeff Uju from Western Texas College has committed to BG. Two years of eligibility left. Looks like he also played at Eastern Wyoming. Big body not a great scorer from stats at both schools. Did attend Oak Hill in HS and is from the Chicago area. Says studying Pre-Med. Welcome Jeff.

He has a 7 foot plus wingspan...dude could wreak all kinds of havoc playing the top of a zone

Wonder if Hollywood will commit... For that matter, what about the 6'11" kid from NDCL? Still think we need some legit size.... And honestly don't think of 6' 7" guys as " bigs" by todays standards.

Unimpressive stats.
Video seems ok
Probably a glue big for the rotation. I'm hopeful we add Brachen Hazen or Tervelle Beck.

Watching his vids seems like a solid shooter with range. I'm finding a lot of Jeff Ujus who are African. Wonder if he has any international ties.
This one doesn't excite me but think he can be a end of the rotation guy for two years. If he truly is pre med that's awesome too. Not sure how that would get done bouncing from three schools in three years but maybe he's a Mensa candidate who just wanted to find a way to play hoops.

This kids fills an open hole in our roster. He'll fill a role that none of our current players can fill. Winning teams need this sort of rounding out. Also, it's nice that he's rock solid academically. He'll defend the post, score when he has the open shot, and grab some rebounds.
Note: Germain Fitch also had very unimpressive stats coming in. Just sayin'.

I know he didn't shoot very many (15-33) but you have to like that 45.5% from 3.
