I am sorry but I just haven't seen anything from Huger that warrants an extension. Just mediocre at best in terms of wins and losses...even with the 10-game stretch this season. Hasn't killed it in recruiting and just brought in "average" talent. The players he has brought in really haven't improved that much over their four years.

With coaches, both football and basketball, you usually know pretty quick what you have. They either have that "it factor" or they don't. Its usually not something you can develop over time. Trouble in the MAC is that if they do have it, you don't keep them for long.

Huger seems like a good guy and he's an alum, but just don't seem him as the one to build the program to where fans want it. Hope i am wrong.

It's odd that we have had the exact same coaching staff for 3 of the 4 years. None of those guys got better offers or were looked at as poor fits?

We are in 2nd place in the MAC, trailing only a top 25 team. We are coming off 2 bad losses, both where the opponents shot 50% from the 3 (sure they got open looks but also hit quite a few very contested ones). The sky is not exactly falling, people.

Lets see how these guys bounce back against Kent. I would expect an inspired performance tonight.

As a fanbase we're a beaten dog. No matter how good our seasons have been (which have been rare over the past 15+ years) we always get the lashing come March. At this point all we have to see is our owner wind up and we're wimpering in pain, even if in reality he's tossing us a treat.

This season is a cheating partner who stops just long enough to suck you back in and then cheats again.

Thinking more and more that Sierra will start at the 5 next year. I could see Fields going to the bench too but only because we will have Zeigler to backup the PG spot. Possible projection

1 Laster-SR--Zeigler FR
2 Frye-SR--Fields SO
3 Turner-JR/SR--Turner FR
4 Plowden-JR--Mattiss SO
5 Sierra-SR--Mattoss SO--Gadsen JR

Or

1 Frye-SR--Laster-SR
2 Fields SO--Zeigler FR
3 Turner-JR/SR--Turner FR
4 Plowden-JR--Mattiss SO
5 Sierra-SR--Mattoss SO--Gadsen JR

My first thought when looking at that was that we are so loaded in the starters with seniors that there might be a big dropoff after next year. It's possible but I think we hit with both Zeigler and Fields so a Roster of the below will still have some experience.

1 Zeigler FR
2 Fields SO
3 Turner-JR/SR--Turner FR
4 Plowden-JR--Mattiss SO
5 Mattoss SO--Gadsen JR

Shocking the lack of hate after a win. But sure the skeptics will chime in. Why is it so hard for the few of you to enjoy success? Matty B - with ya

Hate? Do you really think that those of us that have been critical of this team's effort the last few weeks are haters? We're just voicing our disappointment as fans to the fact that we lost games to two of the worst teams in the conference.

Hell, we're tickled pink to have won 20 games this year and have a first round bye in the MAC Tournament. That was unexpected, especially in late-December after we lost to a horrible Cleveland State team by 20+ points.

We're all hoping they can make a run in Cleveland and break our 50-year NCAA drought. But, we are watching a team that appears to be crawling to the finish line rather than sprinting. Lets hope they can flip a switch here the next few weeks.

But you know what we do hate? Someone who joined this board 90 days ago and has made all of 13 posts and then calls others out as fans. That person we can all agree to hate.

Roll along Falcons!
