Come on man. Leave Grant alone with this crap. He doesn't need to be bothered with you not being able to compress your avatar down to 10kb. Live with it. There are some pretty sharp avatars on here under 10kb. I'm sure you can come up with something. BTW, your current avatar is much better than your previous one.

No one else has had a problem with it. AND if you'll notice, there are lots of very nice avatars on the site... all under 10k. It CAN be done. Apply yourself. ;-) JPG quality is your friend!

golfer: If you're having trouble, you may want to contact Dayon's Den. He's done some very nice avatars, etc. for other folks. He can do an awful lot with 10k.

falconman: the combination of being an Internet geek and being married with kids (e.g. no money) led me to never consider 10k = $10,000.

All of the avatars on my site (click below) should be 10k or smaller. I test most of them but may have forgot to compress a design or two. Let me know if there is one that doesn't work so I can fix it.

Also, if you would like me to design one for you I can. Thanks for your interest in my site and thanks to those of you using my designs!!!

The 10k 150px x 150px avatar size was my doing.

They are much bigger than the default sizes (80x80 4k, I think). It shouldn't be hard at all to compress a 150x150 gif to 10k.

Sounds like someone needs to learn something about Photoshop :D When you decide to get your own high traffic site Odie, you will learn that avatars need to be small to save space on the server and bandwidth. I think the sizing now works fine!
