Statwatch, Milestones, when they are likely

Post by Globetrotter »

We have a whole bunch of milestones coming up. 3 guys will likely get to 1000 points and another 1000 rebounds.

1) Wins: Huger. His most wins ever is 16. He is 1 away from tying that with atleast 11 games left. December 5th we were 5-5 and were wondering if we were going to have to buy out another coach. February 2 we are 15-6 and coming off the biggest win in the new Arena's short history. He already has won as many games as in conference as his best season. 10 conference games to go and then the playoffs.

2) Rebounds: Wiggins is at 948 Rebounds. 52 away from 1000. If he continues his pace he will get to 1000 vs Akron on February 19 and is on pace to pass Cornelius Cash for 2nd all time in rebounds in the first week of the MAC tourney.

3) Points: Wiggins is set to close out his career with 1301 points good for 21st all time.
Lillard is set to pass 1000 v Akron on March 5th.
Frye is set to pass 1000 v Buffalo on March 8th.
Turner is set to pass 1000 v Akron on February 19th.

4) 3pters made: Frye is on pace to have 176 just under Shane Komives at 177. At his rate he could end his career 1st all time in 3pters made.

1) Wins: Huger. He has tied his most wins ever at 16. December 5th we were 5-5 and were wondering if we were going to have to buy out another coach. February 6 we are 16-6. His 8 in conference wins are the most ever in his career.

2) Rebounds: Wiggins is at 958 Rebounds. 42 away from 1000. If he continues his pace he will get to 1000 vs Akron on February 19 and is on pace to pass Cornelius Cash for 2nd all time in rebounds in the first week of the MAC tourney.

3) Points: Wiggins is set to close out his career with 1305 points good for 21st all time.
Lillard is set to pass 1000 v Ohio on February 22nd. A huge jump with his 27 point performance.
Frye is set to pass 1000 v Akron on March 5th.
Turner is set to pass 1000 v Miami on February 26th. A big jump backwards with an 8 pt game last night

4) 3pters made: Frye is on pace to have 178 just over Shane Komives at 177 for 5th all time. At his rate he could end his career 1st all time in 3pters made.

Statwatch: An incredible year, Milestones, when they are lik

Post by Globetrotter »

Decided to combine these 2 threads and let the other one fall down. The below projections ignore a long run in either the MAC tournament or the NCAA tournament :)

1) Wins: Huger. He has achieved his most wins ever. December 5th we were 5-5 and were wondering if we were going to have to buy out another coach. February 13 we are 17-7. His 9 in conference wins are the most ever in his career.

2) Rebounds: Wiggins is at 980 Rebounds. 20 away from 1000. If he continues his pace he will get to 1000 vs Akron on February 19 and is on pace to pass Cornelius Cash for 2nd all time in rebounds in our first game of the MAC tourney.

CAREER REBOUNDING
(Rankings since 1953-54 season)
Player (Years) REB
1. Nate Thurmond (61-63) 1295
2. Cornelius Cash (73-75) 1068
3. Demajeo Wiggins (15-19) 980
4. Len Matela (98-02) 890
5. Colin Irish (80-84) 871

Wiggins just moved in to 10th all time for rebounds in a season with 276. He is on pace for 368 this year. The third best all time.

8. Demajeo Wiggins (17-18) 314
9. Rex Leach (56-57) 299
10. DeMajeo Wiggins (18-19) 276

His 8.2 Career Rebounding average would have him at 10th all time.

CAREER REBOUNDING AVERAGE
(Rankings since 1953-54 season)
Player (Years) REB AVG
1. Nate Thurmond (61-63) 1295 17.0

10. DeMajeo Wiggins 8.2

25. JEFF MONTGOMERY ............. 1,238 POINTS
26. JORDON CRAWFORD ............ 1,212 POINTS
27. DEMAJEO WIGGINS 1209

The other three all look good for this year
Lillard 965
Frye 953
Turner 944

Lillard is set to pass 1000 v Kent on March 1st.
Frye is set to pass 1000 v Miami on February 26th
Turner is set to pass 1000 v Miami on February 26th.

It's very possible that all 3 could get 1000 at home vs Miami on February 26th. Has that ever happened that 3 players reached 1000 in the same game? Has to be aggressively rare

It's also possible that Turner hits it vs Ohio, Frye vs Miami and Lillard vs Kent. 4 in a year. Has to be some kind of record.

4) 3pters made: Frye is on pace to have 178 just over Shane Komives at 177 for 5th all time. At his rate he could end his career 1st all time in 3pters made.

8. Zack Denny (13-17) 145
9. DeMar Moore (95-99) 131
