Travel to Mankato

Post by unfalconbelievable »

I've been looking for flights to Mankato.

Those connected to the Athletic Department. Would there be any chance of a Charter bus to Mankato for fans?

You have a few here willing to ride along in a charter if available rather then white knuckle it for 10 hours.

I don’t have any concrete inside info on this, but I’ll say it’s unlikely simply due to the fact that it’s so far away, and it’s expensive to house people. However, there was a tweet from the Falcon Club that said they were looking at potential costs and demand for a fan bus as recently as this past Thursday or Friday, so I guess it’s not completely impossible. I hope it ends up coming to fruition, because I want to see lots of orange in Mankato!

There are flights on American out of Toledo thru Chicago then to Rochester, 90 miles from Mankato. A little easier than going to Minneapolis.
Weather forecast for next weekend in Mankato is temps in 50's.

BGbill thanks, we owe you one. Didn't know about that airpot.

Any advice on Tickets on where to sit and where not to sit in an opposing teams arena, sections?

We typically like to sit towards the end where BG will be shooting in the first and third periods. At Mankato's Verizon Center, that would be the open end. Last time we were there we sat in sec 100. The student sections are 207 thru 213, and 120, 220, & 320. Mankato is back from break. I don't know if Ticketmaster will offer completely open selection for available seats. Calling the box office would be an alternative. Tickets go on sale Tuesday morning 10AM Central.

Make sure you book the right Rochester. We always have stories about people wanting to go to Minnesota ending up in NY.

The drive honestly isn’t too bad. Wisconsin is really the worst part as you wonder if you’ll ever see civilization again.

Would love to go but flight prices are ridiculous. Just to Minneapolis, nothing under $500. Into Rochester $750-$800. Hoping for a watch party at a BG bar.

I agree it's not a bad ride through God's Country.

Toledo to Rochester just check still $324.

Still plenty of room on that plane for more Falcon Fans. Madhouse on Mercer North, make it happen people and wear your orange

I’m moving from Chicago this weekend, or else I’d be on my way up there. Bummer on the timing because it’s not a terrible trip from here.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

I would be there (haven't seen a BG game in ages) but my school is hosting the D3 frozen four this weekend.
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.
