The dual sport athlete can cause some NCAA compliance issues and I know it requires a lot of behind the scenes work. When they dressed the football guys a few years ago, I heard it was a big pain getting NCAA permission

The Lachey kid right now has football offers from: UC, ISU, UK, and Mich St, Wiscy, Rutgers and about every MAC school. With interest from OSU. Maybe he really wants to play with his brother or really likes BG or likes basketball more than football, but I think once that OSU football offer shows up we probably don't have much of a shot.

But I'm all for the two sport thing. This kid has an NFL frame and athleticism but probably couldn't play basketball at any of the P5 schools I listed above.

I love the idea. Could be a stud on the football field and easily in get in the rotation as a freshman. It would bring some more connection to the football and basketball teams too. And it’s interesting. This team needs energy. He has loads of it.

I think we need a big and a defensive/scoring 3 on the wing to replace Wiggins and Lillard.

I was efficient guys who will play hard and play with energy.

We absolutely need some sort of post presence. I don't know if you can count on Sierra to be your starting 5 man. He's gonna be significantly undersized a majority of the time defensively, and although I know he can score inside his best move is the short jump shot and fade away, I don't know if that will be enough for paint offense. After that you have Mattos and Sierra, I think both are physically capable of getting the job done, you just don't normally see bench guys playing 0 minutes move into a fulltime member of the rotation.

Right now the only offer we have to a post player is the kid from Minnesota and when you watch his video he looks to be more of a 4 than 5. He rarely plays on the block and looks to be on the perimeter a majority of the time. As I've said before I think this position screams for a JUCO or grad transfer that can be a stop gap for a year and let Mattos develop. We'll see though, they could definitely roll with Sierra, Mattos, Gadsen and maybe even be fine if Mattos and Gadsen develop significantly.

I think there is a world where Mattis plays there too. It will be fun to see who comes out of the group of Mattos, Gadsen, Mattis and Sierra and what is added. This is the best part of the offseason.

I saw that, disappointing. On the other hand, I think this means Chandler Turner will have the opportunity to fill Lillard's role of the long, athletic wing off the bench.

They seem to be hovering around a few other guys who are similar to Yeikson so I wouldn't be so sure yet. Atleast 2 jucos with similar size and athleticism and a transfer from William and Mary. That's all just from twitter follows so could be meaningless but typically it shows atleast an interest.

Do you know which guy it is from W&M? They are having an exodus of talent right now with 3 of their top 4 scorers transferring, two of which would be immediately eligible. One is from NY, one from FL, both places obviously recruited by Huger.

One of the coaches started following Audige. Only reason I didn't post anything was because I don't think he is eligible immediately.

Speaking of transfers EMU is having a rough go of it, must be why they got Montero, they're gonna need him. Jeff Boals is also gonna have his work cut out for him at OU. EMU's top three scorers are graduating and they've lost two guys to transfers already, no one who played a big role on last year's team but there's going to be a lot of turnover. OU's top two scorers are transferring (Jason Carter, Tayivion Kirk) and their third leading scorer is graduating, along with another bench player leaving as well (Torey James).
