"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

"Wilkins wasn’t one of them. When he officiated in the International Hockey League for more than 15 years, Wilkins was known for his strict rules interpretation. Coaches and players didn’t always care for that, but they respected him because they knew Wilkins would be consistent with his calls."
Say what???

"Wilkins called a minor penalty with a minute and a half to go in a tie game."

That's about the same as calling a 5 minute major with 3 minutes left in the game. Sound familiar???

“We were told if that if we didn’t do this, we weren’t going to work, and we got a month to do it,” said Fort Wayne’s Mark Wilkins, tonight’s referee. “Some guys who liked to let them play lost a number of assignments because they had problems adjusting.”

Ouch, didn't realize Wilkins is from Fort Wayne. Please, everyone, don't hold that against me. After Saturday's game, don't think I will EVER be able to add him to my list. :? (see below)
Converting Fort Wayne one fan at a time!!
