This move looks to me like the beginning of the end of Seawolf hockey.

Alaska Anchorage Hockey
Alaska Anchorage announced that they are moving their hockey games from the Sullivan Arena which seats over 6,000 to the Wells Fargo Complex on campus where they practice starting this season. The Wells Fargo Complex seats 750.
This move looks to me like the beginning of the end of Seawolf hockey.

Re: Alaska Anchorage Hockey
I think it sounds like a good move from what I'm reading. If they actually go through with expanding capacity to 1,500, I think that could create a really nice home ice environment and will save them a boatload of money.Hockey John wrote:Alaska Anchorage announced that they are moving their hockey games from the Sullivan Arena which seats over 6,000 to the Wells Fargo Complex on campus where they practice starting this season. Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

I love the small, intimate environments in college hockey.
That said, 750 is hardly even a high school game.

Pretty sure the minimum capacity in the WCHA is 2,500 which would explain why the league had to sign off on this move.
