I'm not trying to alarm anyone, but we may have an incoming player who is no longer going to be coming here. I was scrolling through my email inbox this morning and I stumbled across an email from FloHockey that I received on Wednesday which included an article with an interview from Coach Eigner. Nothing too fancy, but there was one line from it that stood out to me:

“We are not going retain all of next year’s recruits, but most are still coming,” Eigner said. “T.J. Lloyd is the kind of player who will jump in and help us right away. There is some scholarship money left for next season, so we’ll find the best way to use it.”

I have been looking around on social media, and I can "confirm" (to the furthest extent that a college kid with no real pull can confirm) that Pitters, Conquest, Daly, Danol, and Lloyd are still in, according to their twitter biographies, which list BGSU in some capacity. I also found an article that stated Zach Rose had signed his letter of intent last April (along with Lloyd and Daly), so I would be surprised if he is the one who is leaving the program.

Does anyone have any way to figure this out with me?

In an interview awhile back about recruiting, the coaches talked about making connections with recruits, and how, individually, they each didn't connect with every recruit. Some would connect with Eigner, some moreso with Schutte, and Bergeron would step in for others. It's not a shock to lose a recruit or two with a coaching change. Wojtala came to BG as Bergeron's first recruit because Miami's staff asked him to play another year of Jr's.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, a Letter of Intent is an NCAA document. It doesn't prevent a player from deciding to sign with the OHL.

Chase Pletzke and Chrystopher Collin are missing from your list. Heisenberg lists both as 2019-20. He isn't showing any changes in either's status or anyone else's https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... 1466169803 and neither does Elite Prospects (who also show both as 2019-20).

Collin retweeted the video of Eigs announcing Rauhauser, Freddy, and Ford as captain/alternates so it would surprise me if he was the guy -- which is good; if we were concerned over who was going to replace all of Cragg's lost penalty minutes it's this guy.

I think you're right that one can still go the major junior route even after signing a LOI so it still could be anybody.

It's my understanding that one of Barry's recruits is going to Miami.

I heard that Scutte was responsible for recruiting Collin. If one of his recruits are going to go to Miami, its likely him.

Chase Pletzke is the recruit that is heading to Miami, according to BGSUHockey.com on twitter.

I can't hold it against him, and I wish the kid luck besides on October 6th and December 30th.

His numbers aren't exactly lighting the world afire, particularly for the NAHL and BCHL. If we were going to lose a guy I'm fine with this. Also fine not replacing cragg's multiple majors for flagrant checks to the head.

Makes sense since he was a Schutte recruit. He signed his NLI the same time as Conquest and Pitters, hopefully they both are still coming.

3 tech players are not returning and are looking to transfer. Gavin Gould, Thomas Beretta, and Andrew Bellant. Could be one of them. If it is one of them, I'm hoping for Gould.
