Huge get, indeed. She had offers from all levels of programs and chose BG. Great sign for the future.

Another thing of note; she was the state champion in shot put this track season, so she is probably already stronger than a lot of college level players before she even plays her senior season. I could see her being a four year standout, for sure.

Edit: Rated as a 4-star and graded at 92 as the #47 recruit on ESPN's rankings up until her decommitment from MSU. My guess is she was dropped from the rankings after decommitting since women's basketball isn't covered as closely. Would have to be the highest rated get for BG, right?

I wonder what all this does to the roster for the next two years. We have 5 players signed for 2019-2020. We had a full roster of 15 last year but I think I heard somewhere that Dever was not on scholarship. Assuming this is true we only lost to graduation Cole and Lambert so the roster would be at 12. Adding 5 players means 2 or 3 deletions. Three players were injured for almost the entire season - A. Dean and Caterrian and Sierra Thompson and two players had really limited playing time-- Battle and Palermo. Any and all could be leaving. We also have the 3 early commitments for 20-21 yet only lose Cecil and Uecker off the current roster. Something else has to give here as well.

I was told that Terri Battle will not return.

Battle was obvious, but I wonder what she did or didn't do to get to that point. Palermo??? Don't have a clue.

Dean is never going to play and goes into medical retirement. I'm guessing that only one of the Thompson girls, at best, will be here next year.

Palermo was a Coach Roos recruit from Erie, PA. Robert Morris is in Pittsburgh. She is closer to home and it may be a better fit for her skill set.

Both Palermo and Battle were brought in by the previous coaching staff. Fralick plays a different style. It is not surprising to see a few transfers,

According to HOF press release she won the MAC discus as a freshman. For those thinking STRONG because of shot or disc success, while true, think instead of GREAT FOOTWORK. That’s why Liz was also a great combo post / 3-pt shooter. The level of athleticism possessed by a champion thrower who is also a D1 basketball recruit is what intrigues me. I’m sure we’ll enjoy her game.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

Liz had those long arms and that weird shot that she started from behind her head...nearly impossible to block

I just loved watching that whole team. Some of the most fun I had at sporting events during my BG years. I think the MAC is a lot faster now than it was ten years ago, though. It'd be harder to find the space to get a long developing shot like that off now.

Another commit to WBB earlier this month - Zoe Miller out of Hiland High School in Berlin. She is class of 2021. 6'0" post player who was first team All-Ohio as a sophomore and averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds per game. It looks like she had some monster games, regularly getting 20+ points and 15+ rebounds. Really solid player and another testament to Fralick's recruiting. BG is going to be a powerhouse again.

And at just over six foot, she blocked a hell of a lot of shots.

Another 2020 commit in Olivia Hill out of Fremd High School in Palatine, IL (Chicago area). Looks like she was a pretty well-rounded player at a top girls program in the state. Averaged 7.5 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals per game. Couldn't find anything on her size.
