Coaching Updates
Re: Coaching Updates
He’s 47 years old, and his name is Steve Morrison. He has been out of coaching since 2013 for “personal reasons” but it appears he’s ready to come back.
His career:
1990-1994 Michigan (player)
1995-1998 Colts (player)
2000-2001 Brother Rice HS (DC)
2002-2004 Michigan (assistant)
2005 WMU (DL)
2006-2007 WMU (LB)
2008-2009 WMU (DC)
2010-2011 EMU (LB)
2012-2013 Syracuse (LB)
I don't love that he has been out of the game for so long, but he seems to still be young enough to be able to adapt to the current game and recruit well. I hope he's ready - there's lots of work to do in the LB room. Welcome aboard, Mr. Morrison!

Re: Coaching Updates
Apparently he's been in medical supply sales since he left 'Cuse. It's kinda weird to name him Associate Head Coach but hopefully he's a good one.mbenecke wrote:He’s 47 years old, and his name is Steve Morrison. Re: Coaching Updates
Someone who’s been out of coaching for 6-7 years is the team’s associate head coach?
Hopefully it works out, but that resume isn’t exactly impressive.

Re: Coaching Updates
Jim Herrmann announced as the DC for the new NYC XFL franchise. It's a promotion in title and league, and probably decent money, although I'd think his job security would be infinitely higher in the NCAA. This iteration of the XFL will be more successful than some of the past alternative leagues, but I still don't see it lasting longer than 2-3 seasons.
