Re: 2020 Verbals
Dontrez Brown - DE from Fremont Ross High School, and Loeffler seemed to indicate on Twitter that there may be more coming soon.
Brown is 6'2" 280 (THAT's the kind of size I like to see at DE) and looks like he's pretty quick and strong. Had a bunch of MAC offers plus Air Force and a few FCS.

JB Brown out of Har-Ber in Arkansas. He’s the third commit out of there for the 2020 class. The other two are RBs and he is a 6’3” 210 lbs LB.

Re: 2020 Verbals
I'm wondering if this guy might end up at safety. Great height and perfect weight; it would just depend on his speed. He could also be a LB with another 20 pounds of weight (probably easy to do in a college program).drumstix2388 wrote:JB Brown out of Har-Ber in Arkansas. Yeah, I could see him moving to safety, as well, but if he can bulk up to 230-240, I'd love to see a guy that size as an LB in the MAC.Falconwriter wrote:I'm wondering if this guy might end up at safety. Re: 2020 Verbals
ANOTHER commit from Har-Ber High School (Does someone know if they have a hell of a team or what?). Safety, JaJuan Boyd. Listed as 5'11" 165lbs on 247, but I think he looks closer to 180. Likely a redshirt to bulk up some. Definitely starting to increase the focus on defense with the more recent commits.

He could be a DE if we were to play a 3-4 defense

MAC Recruiting update by Alex Alvarado...
"Show notes:
Out of nowhere, BGSU got exciting for the recruiting world and leads the MAC with 16 commits to its 2020 class. That’s probably the biggest surprise. If not, then maybe Buffalo? The Bulls are following up a 10-win season with one of the conference’s slower starts to the recruiting cycle. It’s not a race, but it’s noticeable."

Re: 2020 Verbals
There's a long ways to go until the December signing day, and those rankings typically are weighted by numbers as much as anything. Teams behind BG now (notably Western and the rock-ettes) have fewer recruits but are very close in average star rating (which I think it more important when judging the quality of a class.) If/when they get more recruits, the possibility of them passing up BG becomes more likely. Regardless, Loeffler and his staff have done one helluva job from the get-go.Flipper wrote:So far...so good...#1 in the MAC..will it stick?
