Another Ohio commit from Shon Strickland, a 6’ WR out of Reynoldsburg. Not super heralded but had decent stats for a good team. Unsure if this is a scholarship or PWO offer, as his only other offer was from Robert Morris (FCS). Welcome to the Falcons, Shon.

Myles Williamson, out of Westerville, OH, committed yesterday. 5'10" DB who seems to be pretty quick, but raw. His older brother is a DB for Ohio State.

New commit today from Adrian Wilson out of Lincoln Way East in the Chicago area (my team played there when I coached high school baseball and they have a hell of an athletic program). 6'3" 225lbs DE with a pretty good motor. Rated as a two-star on 247 and had offers from several MAC, Ivy League, and military academy programs. 247 is not up-to-date, but by my own count I believe that brings us to 22 commitments so far on the year.

Nearly an entire year worth of commits ... and it is two months before the season starts. Not bad. Surely we will have some decommitments, that is part of the recruiting process, and if we do there is an entire season to fill in the gaps.

Nice article on commit, Fortune Woods: https://www.nwitimes.com/sports/high-sc ... um=twitter" target="_blank

Sounds like a really talented player who went through some growing pains before getting his act together. Hope he continues to put it all together here. He's got good size and it sounds like a good head on his shoulders.

I like that we are getting young men who are also getting looks from the Ivy League. Very nice.

Big recruit. Had offers from UC, Colorado State, UCONN, tons of MAC and other schools. Under rated but clearly schools all over the country saw some skill.

New verbal from a big DT out of Mansfield High School. Anthony Hawkins, 6'2, 255-285lbs (depends which site you look at). He was honorable mention All-Ohio as a junior.

What's the maximum number of scholarships we can offer next season? I'm amazed how many verbals we have already!

I believe I've read on here that it's 25. I'm curious if there are any preferred walk-ons in the group. There are a couple of players that only had offers from FCS and lower, so it may have pushed for them to be PWOs.

Add another one. Kaden Moore a big OG 6'3" 305 out of Bethleham PA. Had a lot of look-sees with other offers from Albany, Robert Morris, and Towson.

Just added Troy Rainey, a 6'5/300lb big man from Connecticut who plays OT/DE/DT. Nice pickup there. It has been a minute since we had a win on the recruiting trail.

BG's class currently sits 4th in the MAC and 76th nationally with an average recruit rating of 0.8122, as of 5:10pm.

Mostly FCS offers, but he is a big boy and looks to have some quickness and agility. Nice size for the O-line.
