Yikes. That's the kind of thing you really start to see the effects of in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Hopefully the boys keep well-hydrated the whole morning and through the game. Make sure you slather on the sunscreen, rogue!roguewarrior wrote:I’m going to game Saturday. Temp forecast at 90 degrees! Hot the days leading in too. Will be a factor in both sides.

Will do, thx! Will be blazing on the field. That turf will be well over 100 in the sun.

I don't really expect this game to be close. I can envision the offense having issues against a bigger and faster defense, leaving the BG defense on the field for long periods of time in the heat. It'll be a good test though to see if the culture has indeed changed or not, and if the team can put together four quarters of consistent effort.

And Morgan State did it for free. What player doesn’t want to play in a big time venue.... maybe one year, catch lightning in a bottle and knock someone off.

I heard Middle Tennessee State players could not wait to play in the Big House after seeing it on TV their whole lives. I bet our guys will be giddy when they first see Touchdown Jesus and the field at Notre Dame Stadium.

I have been around football my whole life as a player and High School coach. I promise you until now have never associated the word "giddy" with football.
Re: Looking forward to Kansas State
I had Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade on recently.
"Your father was very close to finding the knight's tomb. He was as giddy as a schoolboy."
"The professor? He was never giddy, even when he was a schoolboy."
So sue me.

Giddy or not I’m sure college players consider playing in front of TD Jesus a career highlight whether mid-major or P5. It is certainly among the legendary stadiums of college football. On the other hand Kansas State is a nice money trip with a solid opponent in a nice big stadium for a mid -major. They need us as much as we need them $.

No idea how we will do. But I’m looking forward to finding out. This team is already exceeding my expectations.
Re: Looking forward to Kansas State
I suspect K-State will pull away in the second half. If it is a game at halftime, or even going into the fourth quarter, I feel the whole MAC will be on notice. Those few years of kicking around BG are over. Time for BG to kick back.

What if we win? You think the MAC will forfeit and give us the championship?MarkL wrote:I suspect K-State will pull away in the second half. I know we will probably lose by 30 and are just out classed currently but it is nice the see DL and LB actually tackling ... It been 10 years since I have seen that
