Interestingly enough, Michaelis (MSU) makes first team and Beaulieu (NMU) also makes second. Three from the WCHA...I guess the top of our league isn't all that bad.

Mankato is going through a really good stretch the last few years (with the monster asterisk of being unable to win in the NCAA tournament). They benefit from a similar schedule to ours. Playing good opponents one weekend a month on average. They are better at not losing to the bottom half of the league. Which is why they win titles as opposed to finishing in 3rd place.
Tough to see anyone really near them again this season.

It appears he won't be, but I haven't heard anything official.
