Re: Notre Dame
For guys questioning the ticket price. I ordered FOUR lower bowl tix at $100 each...tix arrived with printed value of $90. So I’m assuming BG charged me $10 PER TICKET plus “handling fee”. Interesting

Re: Notre Dame
For those of you who have not purchased tickets but are thinking about going, the Notre Dame ticket office has a Bowling Green 150th Anniversary Offer. This package includes 2 lower level tickets to the Bowling Green game plus free parking in White Field (a $30 value) all for $150 while supplies last. They will also let you choose seats in the special sections. I am in Section 5 Row 30 so I can see the video board.

Re: Notre Dame
The Irish beat Virginia 35-20. Had eight sacks and two forced fumbles, one returned for a TD. If BG is able to score against their first team defense, I'll consider that a win.

Brian Kelly doesn’t usually pass much in the second half of games that are well in hand. Plus he’s extremely close with our D-Coordinator personally. Hopefully it doesn’t get 60+ point embarrassing, but it might.
Re: Notre Dame
Betting odds have been released for this weekend. We're 44.5 point underdogs.

46 now, didn't take long for heavy money to come in on the Irish.

As far as bars to visit, I have heard that the Linebacker Lounge, across the street from ND, is a good place to go.

If BG does not give up 50+ that should be considered a win.jpfalcon09 wrote:46 now, didn't take long for heavy money to come in on the Irish.
For those who are ND fans and BG alums wondering about how to root in this game, I'll share my experience from OSU-BG games. I grew up going to OSU games and being a fan (a lot of OSU grads in my family, including my older brother). This was years before I even thought about attending BGSU. When BG made a trip here for a game against OSU years and years ago, I had season tickets for OSU with a friend, so I made a plan of rooting for whoever had the ball. It made it easier. BG had little to no chance of winning that game, as they do in this match up. There's nothing quite like the game day atmosphere at a school that has been a traditional power: enjoy yourselves.
Here's hoping BG can make a respectable showing and go home without any major injuries.

Re: Notre Dame
I'd take BG on this line right now. Coming off a bye week with a bit more health, and hopefully a better grasp of the offense against an ND team that has faced UGA and UVA in back to back weeks. I think the game will be over by halftime, but I could see it being a 35-40 point game.jpfalcon09 wrote:46 now, didn't take long for heavy money to come in on the Irish.

Re: Notre Dame
I'd take the Irish even if it gets to 50. I don't see BG scoring in this one unless it's late in garbage time. ND hung with a very good Georgia team and have a ton of speed. The bye week means nothing to me as BG has shown this year they can't be consistent to execute.drumstix2388 wrote:I'd take BG on this line right now. Re: Notre Dame
Only way you’d take BG plus the points is with the hope ND calls off the dogs in the second half. They could win by 75 if they wanted to, but if the first half goes well for them, I think you’ll see a lot of creative mixes on your standard runs (i.e. lot of motion, fake end around/HB off tackle, etc.)
That may still confuse our defense, but there will be stops if they can tackle and not get fooled by extra twists on basic running plays.

We are driving the RV out Friday night. Still researching the parking situation. I know they have an RV parking lot that opens at 7 am on Campus, but no overnight parking, so we may look somewhere else.
The Alumni event is a little pricey for my entire crew to attend since I am also looking at $125 to park.
