zete makes an excellent point...midweek MACtion is a drag on fan support

Attendance was rarely that great across the MAC in November, even on Saturdays. Big games drew a crowd, but battles of .500 (or sub .500) teams rarely drew well when the temperatures went down in Middle America.

I think the calculation is: If crowds aren't going to be that great anyway, let's at least get the games on national TV.

I accept the trade off. I remember when no MAC games were ever on national TV. I do not want to go back to that situation if we can avoid it.
