If nothing else...we have a coach who gets the importance of the rivalry. Great win....

EXTEND LOEFFLER!!! Just kidding, but WOW what’s win. All the credit to the defense for absolutely shutting TSUN down from the beginning, and really great playmaking by Loy and Denley. Nico Lautenen played the game of his life.

There aren't enough words of praise for Coach Loeffler and this team. To be 25 point 'dogs and win a game like this? Great coaching all around. Make no mistake...BG DOMINATED this game and outplayed that crapfest from the North in every phase. Exceptional coaching all around, and the BG kids left it all on the field.
This is the type of win that can turn a program around.

The Falcons played out of their minds.
(And Toledo looked like it had Scooter McDougle coaching special teams.)
What a glorious win!

Re: That School Up North
This might well be the most shocking win by a BG football team in my lifetime. I honestly can’t think of another time where we were nearly 4 touchdown underdogs and won outright. Forget winning, BG absolutely pounded Toledo in this game in all phases. The defense played out of their minds, the defensive line was getting to the QB, the back seven were blitzing and covering with fervor like I haven’t seen since the Clawson era. The special teams unit played amazing as well, several punts inside the 10, a blocked punt, a pair of made field goals, etc. Offensively, the BG offensive line won big time in the trenches and the running game was going strong virtually all game.
Having watched this team play against Louisiana Tech earlier this season, and seeing Toledo’s 4-1 record, I’m having a hard time reconciling how BG did what they did today. Honestly, this had to be a coaching masterpiece as well as such a burst of spirit and fight by BG...you could tell all 2nf half that BG simply wanted it so much more. They were cheering and jumping up and down for every big play on the sidelines while Toledo’s players were simply lifeless, perhaps shell shocked at what was happening.
Scott Loeffler, take a bow. You’ve done what no BG coach has done in a decade. Even in conference championship years in 2013 and 2015 Dave Clawson and Dino Babers couldn’t beat Toledo despite having teams that were way more talented. I compare this win to Urban Meyer’s win at the Glass Bowl in 2001, or Jim Tressel’s win over Michigan that same year...it has the potential to be a deeply significant win that we look back on and say “yeah, that was the day that BG football announced it was back”
Everybody who had the stomach to watch the last 3+ years of utter crap should feel redemption for their faith and fandom today...you were all better BG fans than I.

Wow. I'm at a loss for words. I've been privileged to speak for a few times to coach Loeffler and the two constants were about changing the culture and beating Toledo.
This win is very big for this program and should set a foundation on the rest of the season for what needs to be done.
Great atmosphere today as well. It's a great rivalry when the games are competitive.
Gladly eating crow for dinner and I'll comment more once my euphoria settles down.

I waited longer this year to renew my tickets than any other in the past 25 years. I knew my Saturdays were going to be busy and the memory of last year's poor product had me doubting I would miss anything significant. I am so glad that I went ahead and renewed because TODAY made it all worthwhile. Seats on the bandwagon are available and waiting to be filled. Hopefully this is the defining moment to begin the next great era.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.
