So would we Dan, so would we

Comment from Dan Dakich last night on WMU's Steve Hawkins after the WMU loss:

"His four seniors were playing in their last home game," Dakich said. "I don't have any problem with that. I'd like to be in that position one time."

After all the defections in recent years, I too hope one day we can make senior night a "class" affair in years to come on an annual basis.

You missed the context of why Dakich said that. The statement was made after it was pointed out that Western kept their starters in the game until 3:25 were left and had lead by at least 20 the entire half. Then Dakich commented "His four seniors were playing in their last home game. I don't have any problem with that. I'd like to be in that position one time." So what he was saying is that he would like to be able to have a blowout on Senior night so he could showcase them and take them out to huge applause with a huge lead.

I thought he meant that he wanted to go back to his senior year at Indiana and replay his last game at Assembly Hall. God, I'm such a dumbass.
