Not real pleased with the energy level. Mattos starting looks like a real bad idea.

Let's hope they wake up for the second half.

I guess my reaction is that there was nothing overly good or bad in the first half. Need to shoot better from the line, but we're shooting a just-okay (if a little inefficient) 37% from the field. Need to lock in defensively and take advantage of mistakes with some more buckets in transition.

Turner has 11 points, but everyone else is pretty even in the first half. Diggs with 5, Sierra, Plowden, and Laster with 4, Mattos, Matiss, and Frye with 2. Ziegler has played, but has not scored. Interestingly, we have not seen Caleb Fields. I'm hoping everything is alright there and he'll be good to go soon.

I need more from Dylan Frye in the 2nd half. We all know what he's capable of, and I think if he gets a couple of early buckets that it could really start the BG avalanche of offense. His deep shooting is often a spark, and this team certainly could use a shot in the arm right about now.

Go Falcons!

I know we kicked Wiggins around last year but his absence is evident already

Plowden with a strong move to the bucket and lays it off the glass.

It really feels like we can't grab a defensive rebound this game. Could be a massive problem this year.

Mattos fires a pass from the top of the key and Frye lays it in. Frye then gets fouled on the next drive. Like I hoped, he's playing more aggressive this half. Turner then goes and drives to the basket, nails it and is fouled - hits the free throw.

Really need to stop the Findlay 3-ball. They've hit 8. It's 44-43 Oilers at the U-16 in the 2nd half.

Diggs hits a 3 to put BG back up for their first lead since about 2 minutes in. Then on the defensive end, he grabs a steal and draws a foul. Great stretch for the new guy!

Frye gets another bucket, and BG nows leads 48-44. Timeout Findlay - seemed like a run was coming.

Yes, absolutely. I got so ticked with him at times but he was a legit good MAC big. Mattos wouldn't start for this Findlay team.

Huger must realize that he's not one of our top 7-8 guys and we should be going small most of the time.

Better defensive intensity andball movement to start the 2nd half.

Sierra with a nice ball fake that gets the defender in the air, and he follows it with a drive where he nails a bucket, draws a foul, and sinks the free throw.

He also got back and ran hard to chase down a Findlay defender, who ultimately still made the dunk - but I appreciate the effort and I liked the speed he displayed.

Under 12, BG is up 53-51. We're not out of the woods yet, folks.

For real who isn't dressed? Swingle, Fields, Gadson? That would be 3.

For the reasons I mentioned above, I wouldn't mind giving Sierra some run with the ones. He's strong, he's physical and tough, he has a little bit of a jumper, he's athletic.

I was on Wiggins for his inconsistency. He clearly had the talent to dominate in the MAC (which he REALLY showed last year) but there were times it seemed like he just wasn't locked in all the way and didn't take over games like he should. I wish him nothing but the best, and I know he's going to crush it in the G-league.

From what I can tell, that's it. And I don't even know about not dressed, just haven't played.

Chandler Turner has been in during the 2nd half.

I think that they think Mattos is a good player at the 5. I think that's disheartening.

And as I mention him, Chandler Turner hits a 3. We need to come up with a nickname for him this year to distinguish the Turners. Haha

It feels like Findlay just can't miss from deep. I don't know if it's our perimeter defense or if their shooters are really just that good. It could be a mix of both.

6:10 left, 63-all.
