Homecoming 2020 was announced today.
It's October 3rd, and our opponent will be Liberty.
Hoping to see lots of you there! It will be my first homecoming as an alumnus.

Liberty hasn't got a prayer...a snowball's chance in hell...against us
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: 2020 Schedule
I would say 1-3 with these 4 four early season games. Robert Morris, which equates to the likes of Ashland, being the W.

Re: 2020 Schedule
I've got us going 3-1 in the out-of-conference. Liberty and Robert Morris are wins. Illinois is a toss-up and will depend on how well the players prepared during the off-season. OSU...that will just be ugly.
ROLL ALONG!!!
Re: 2020 Schedule
I like some of the early confidence going into next year. This program could use some swagger.
I like Robert Morris as a win. I think Liberty could be tougher than some expect, given that they are 7-5 and in a bowl game. I know they lost to Rutgers, but they were better than that for most of the year. Illinois is the type of game that we could win in a few years once our program is built back up, but I don't love our chances in that one next year. And the Ohio State game... yikes. I love our guys and I believe in this program, but that program is just on a different level of machine right now.
As with this past season, I just want to see fight and improvements both ways as the year progresses.

Re: 2020 Schedule
Too soon to determine anything about next year's results. We don't know how much more attrition the program might have over the winter and spring, and what impact incoming freshmen may have. Same about other programs.

Re: 2020 Schedule
Our team was awful this year. I do expect improvement. But it may take some time to get back to where we ought to be, which is having a strong shot against program like Illinois and Liberty.footballguy51 wrote:I've got us going 3-1 in the out-of-conference. Liberty beat Buffalo by two touchdowns this season. Jerry Falwell Jr. is trying to build a monster down there.
Re: 2020 Schedule
The number 2 seed (ahead of Clemson) in the college football playoff with a returning Heisman finalist at QB, plus another Big 10 bowl team on the road and a Group of 5 bowl team thrown in for good measure. This is obscene.
This is not a schedule that gets the program better. It's a schedule that retards growth and is the biggest impediment to progress facing the team. This scheduling philosophy needs to be abandoned if BG wants the opportunity to get to the MAC season in one piece.
