Any good lunch/dinner spots in Muncie?
Any good lunch/dinner spots in Muncie?
Wife and I are thinking of making the trip up from the Ville to Muncie. Any good lunch/dinner spots anyone can recommend?

I'm not that familiar with Muncie but there's a place north of there in Gas City that serves fish and chips called Paynes. There's not much on I-69. Not much at all.

Savages Ale House is the best place in Muncie to eat. It is downtown but only a few minutes from campus. Solid beer selection and good bar food.
Elm Street Brewery is right up there with Savages and a ton of beer option.
Roots Burger Bar is good and it is where the old Scotty's Brewhouse used to be if you've ever been to campus.
Those would be my choices hands down.
There is a Trust Your Butcher Steakhouse downtown that I've not had the chance to visit
and Vera Mae's is a little higher end (for Muncie) also.
Everything else like wings and such can be found on McGalliard. Just drive up and down it and you'll find something.
