Interesting that the team isn't leaving Alaska until Tuesday morning, and are flying to Minneapolis. Right now, they are planning on spending the week in Minnesota. With the possibility of a Sunday game, they couldn't get a flight for late Sunday/early Monday.

Wonder who is paying for a week of hotel and food to just hang out in Minnesota? I’m sure WCHA pays for the primary travel, but I doubt they pay for expenses for teams that have to stay on the road all week.

The 60 flights saved most likely pays for the extra night in a hotel. In the playoffs, the league pays for travel. That's the flights to and from Alaska, and the bus to and from the airports. They'd get back to BG late Tuesday, then leave for the airport Wednesday. 60 flights saved more than pays for the extra night in a hotel in Minnesota. They are probably saving the league a couple grand by staying in Minnesota.

Bemidji is finishing up a tough win over LSSU. It was 2-1 until late in the third when the goalie got pulled.
