Someone else remembers Jimmy Darrow (still best shooter I’ve ever seen at BG) w/ no 3 pt shot availability), and Butch Komives, another great scorer.
Looking at Metheny pix, he’s a lot smaller in frame than the two Falcon greats.
Never got to see either play, but I did live in the dorm named after Jimmy. Even as a lot of those old dorms have been demolished, Darrow is still there; at least for a while.

I want to thank Globe for doing such an outstanding job in keeping us up to date on basketball recruiting. I'm really excited about the upcoming season, and want to see that awful curse broken while I still have enough of my mind left to enjoy it!

As expected (yet also a relief), all three commitments signed their NLI yesterday and will be Falcons next season! This looks like a really great class. I'm excited for the years to come.

All scholarships now gone for next year. Potential transfers could change that but I would look for those to be filled with jucos.

Raheim Moss who was on our radar but was not among the three 2020 BG LOI's signed with Toledo. Will be an interesting comparison going forward.

Saw him play a game in high school (pre- Spire Institute) and that guy is STRONG. He had a ton of D-1 football offers, too. I think he's going to be a really solid guy for UT.

I think we are getting some elite guys next year. But I think that every year so we shall see. If they can round it out with a shotblocking big that would be great.

Josiah Fulcher-Should be able to follow him as he goes through the tournament?

Seems like he and Zeigler will be great in a backcourt together. Rotating at the 2 or 1.

Kaden Metheny-Just reached 2000+ career pts with a 44 pt game

Can't help but think of Koch and Caldwell when looking over these prospects. They both start for 17-12 Div II Ashland. Thus, the realization several of the above mentioned are of a similar talent level. Up to the staff to sort it all out.....

Watched Fulcher play in the district final last night and came away impressed. He had 21 points, dunked on a dude, and guarded the other teams beat player and held him to 4 points (0 in the second half) and got the win... and by all accounts, he actually had a bad game.

Some observations:

-Kids got a sweet shooting stroke and can hit off the dribble. Didnt try to force too much. He pulled up from the logo on a dead ball and nailed it.
- Athletic ability definitely a plus
- he did miss 2 big free throws down the stretch
- loved his energy on defense and rebounding.
- I project him as a solid "3 and D" guy in the MAC, with potential to be your leading scorer on a given night if he gets hot.
- Agree that he will be a PERFECT compliment to Ziegler.
- listed at 6'1 but looked every bit of that, if not taller.
- with his skillset, if he were 6'4" he'd probably be in the Big 10.

And again, this is what I took away, and most people I talked to (who had seen him before) thought he actually had a bad game. Excited for this kid to get in here. Might not start right away, but I definitely think he'll contribute as a freshman.

I should have been more clear. I think Metheny is the starting pg next year. Should turner leave we will have some sort of rotation of Metheny and Ziegler playing pg and Fields and Fulcher at the two. Should he stay it might be the same.

3 and D Gus don’t typically attack the basket the way Fulcher does.

Yep. They underperform every chance they are given. They are lazy and undisciplined on offense and defense. If they ever win anything it will be in spite of the coaching. They need to hit on a few very aggressive high energy guys to make up for what we are consisitently terrible at. 16-29 over the last half of MAC seasons.

I'd rather not go back and forth with you because it's obvious to me you are pretty crazy and just come to poke at people and people don't want to read that garbage here.

St John's guarded him well. He wasn't able to penetrate much. Hell be able to show and go a little bit, but I see his shooting and defense translating best at the college level.

Crazy is if you go back and read your posts. I hate this team, I love this team. Win- I love them, lose- I hate them. There’s no back and forth with me, just back and forth with your posts.
