After quickly dispatching Alaska in 2 games, our Falcons (21-13-4) will be staying on the road for a semifinal playoff series as we take on the Bemidji State Beavers (22-10-5). We ride in on a 10-game unbeaten streak, which is the longest active streak in the nation. Friday night will begin at 8:07pm EST, with Saturday and Sunday's potential Game 3 both coming at 7:07pm EST. Every game the rest of the way will be available to stream on FloHockey. You can also listen to Ryan Vallon on the radio call, or follow @BGFalconHockey on Twitter for updates throughout the game.

It continues to be showtime. We are not the team favored to win this series, but anything can happen in March. This is a team we saw just 5 weeks ago, so we know what to expect on the ice for the weekend. We need to be the hardest working team out there - this team is too disciplined and can make us pay for mistakes. This series is absolutely winnable, but we need to play up to our ability and potential every time out to have a chance.
Let's do this. Beat Bemidji. Go Falcons!

Re: ROUND 2: @ Bemidji State (3/13-3/15)
I watched the second period of tonight's LSSU-BSU game. It was a penalty fest. It seemed like it was a very slow paced game. Players had lots of room to skate and handle the puck. If the same Bemidji team shows up, BG should finish it in two.

Re: ROUND 2: @ Bemidji State (3/13-3/15)
Bemidji does seem like a "boring" team to watch on a night-to-night basis. They do a lot well, and they're fairly disciplined, but they don't play an exciting brand of hockey.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like we will have the better athletes this weekend, while they have a better team defense and they're stronger between the pipes - Driscoll is legit, and it feels like he can steal a game on his own. It's going to be very important for us to capitalize on every opportunity, because it doesn't seem like they give much away for free.

Harvard just ended their season

Wonder what the odds are these game this weekend end up in front of empty stands?
Just our luck would be we finally get to host Tech in the WCHA Championship and nobody will be allowed to attend.

B1G cancelled BBall tourney, sure hockey tourney is next.
Given what has transpired last night and today I simply can not believe these games will take place.
No way the WCHA could be this clueless.....and play this with spectators, much less at all.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – March 12, 2020 – The Western Collegiate Hockey Association announced Thursday that it is cancelling the remaining rounds of the WCHA Men's Postseason due to concerns over the COVID-19 health situation.
"In light of the current health issue gripping the nation, we are cancelling the remainder of the WCHA Postseason." WCHA President and Men's League Commissioner Bill Robertson said. "The health and safety of our student-athletes as well as our coaches, officials, fans, institutional and league staff is our top priority. Over the last several days we have discussed options for continuing the competition but at the end of the day, we felt it was best for all concerned to end the season immediately."
