Just got a STEAL out of Florida. Running back Chris Phillip's just committed on twitter. While he did say his recruitment is still open, he did say a lot about the faith that BGSU coaches have in him. This will be a nail biter till the end, and a lot of work will have to be done to keep his commitment. Reminds me a lot of the Le'veon Bell commitment from a long time ago

Offers from Austin Peay, Buffalo, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Iowa State, Southern Miss, Tennessee State, Toledo, Tulane, USF, and UT Martin.

Don't know if it is an error or not but 247 shows Phillips as a decommit on May 20.

You could be right as I didn’t see verbal from him on his recruiting page. Isn’t this the kid they had an extensive article on how we’d worked his recruiting for longer than anyone?

Yes, Phillips decommitted the other day.

He was the one who openly stated when he committed that his recruitment was still 100% open, so it wasn’t like he was ever fully on board. I had figured it would be tough to keep him.

He had offers from Akron, Army, Ball State, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Kent State, Miami (OH), Toledo, Western Illinois, Western Michigan, and Youngstown State. He's the #6 highest rated recruit in school history.

Jaison Patterson (3-star APB) - Ed White HS (Jacksonville, FL)

He had offers from Illinois, Liberty, and Troy.

Alex Padgett (3-star OT) - Avon Lake HS (Avon Lake, OH)

He had offers from Akron, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Liberty, Toledo, and Youngstown State.

Jacory Jordan (3-star QB) - Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, FL)

He had offers from FIU, USF, and Western Kentucky.

Dierre Kelly (3-star DE) - Marrillville HS (Merrillville, IN)

He had offers from Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Miami, Northern Illinois, Toledo, and Western Michigan.

He had offers from Pitt, Akron, Kent State, Miami, and Ball State. He’s 6’6, so I’m thinking he’s more of a stand up edge rusher.

In the Top 4 for ATH TJ Lockley out of Daytona Beach along with Illinois, ECU, and Boston College. Has about 30 other offers on the table, several from P5 schools. I can't recall a BG prospect making a top 4 with schools like that, pretty much ever. Even if he opts elsewhere, our staff is making BG look desirable to some serious talent out there. Kudos to them.
