Transfer Watch

JaJuan Hudson - CB
Re: Transfer Watch
Hit after hit after hit, they just keep on coming. Each one sets us back more and in ways we can’t recover with limited numbers of recruits each year. And the last two who left were both freshmen. And you know there’s more to come. I’ve never seen anything like the amount of defections and transfers we’ve had in the last few years in all the years I’ve been following BG football.

Re: Transfer Watch
Nonsense..
Players come and go...a mass exodus following a coaching/culture change is nothing new. Players leave for a number of reasons...Johnson left to go to YSU...where the DC who recruited him is coaching. Hudson is from NJ. Rutgers just hired a high profile coach...maybe he feels there's a spot for him there.
We have seven kids coming in January...including a top QB and WR...I'd rather focus on them and however many other kids who are coming in the fall than the people who don't fit the culture or want to leave .

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Re: Transfer Watch
MOST.....and I cannot emphasize MOST anymore than I am.....however talented your perception of them is......leave because they are not needed or wanted here. Some that are talented may have burned their 10 strikes. Also, Because some person at 247, who never even watched film of the player, ranked them a whatever star, does not translate to a future star lost here at BG. Doege is the only gut punch that left on Loeffler watch.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.
Re: Transfer Watch
Linebacker Torrian Hampton has decided to grad transfer. Best of luck to him.

Re: Transfer Watch
Torrian Hampton didnt even play much did he? Also why transfer now, it seems a little late to transfer?
Re: Transfer Watch
I don’t remember the name, but he’s played in 28 games over the last 3 seasons, starting twice. He didn’t play much during those games.BCWILSO wrote:Torrian Hampton didnt even play much did he? Also why transfer now, it seems a little late to transfer?
I don’t blame him for grad transferring and looking for somewhere he might be able to play out his final year of eligibility. He was likely passed up on the depth chart by some younger talent here.

Good for Grant. Auburn is interesting, for sure. I have to imagine they see him as a wildcat entry, or maybe a TE? Also curious if it's a PWO offer.mbenecke wrote:Grant Loy has committed to Auburn.

Good for Grant! My daughter is a junior at Auburn and it's a special place for school, football (and basketball)! He will have a great experience on The Plains!
Re: Transfer Watch
Per 247sports he is on scholarship
Re: Transfer Watch
Davin Wilson - DB
I believe he missed last couple games

Re: Transfer Watch
I figured Loy had two distinct directions to go. FCS as a QB, or bigger place as a TE, and a year to audition for the NFL if he wants to go that way. His passing game is his weakest aspect. The guy is a powerful runner and a great leader. He's got the build and speed of a TE.
I'm guessing he'll be buried at Auburn on the QB depth chart but will find a spot as a TE and WC QB. Malzahn is a clever OC and will find a good use for Loy. He almost won a national championship with a DB playing QB.
Congratulations and best of luck Grant!

I agree, I have been to Auburn several times and it's a great college town/university. In fact, Auburn and Clemson are very similar towns/universities. Both are nice college towns in the South with a major university that features the same name for the town and university, respectively.ZuluWarrior wrote:Good for Grant!
