Cool story about Kent State players wanting to work rather than hang up the cleats. I can't imagine this happening under anything other than a good coaching staff with great leadership among the players. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb ... li=BBnb7Kz

Less than 5% positive test rate means there is no longer a pandemic.
All of the countries who have closed their borders to Americans disagree with you.
And the fact that American tourists and business people are being kept out of countries that rely so heavily financially on the US speaks LOUDLY.
Whatever it takes to cripple the economy.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

So The Bahamas is self sacrificing their American tourist-based economy as part of a global effort to shutter the US economy because for some reason it's in their best interests with a side benefit of sticking it to MAC football. Their actions are punitive and have nothing to do with their assessment of risk and safety for their citizens. It took 75 years, but the Germans and Japanese are finally getting payback for 1942-45. And this global effort to cripple our economy and MAC football is orchestrated by non other than Tony "The Hammer" Fauci who despite his diminutive stature has wielded his epidemiological power in ways never before contemplated in human history. This dude, who has been the NIAID director for 36 years, has been masterful at biding his time and playing the long game.

And this line of thinking somehow makes sense. Clearly not everyone considers Occam's razor valid these days but it's a free country and we're entitled to our opinions.

Cute, but not that complicated. How is Bahamian tourism, MAC Football, or Karen’s donut shop any different? If you are “open for business”, you are subject to the unbiased media and social media driven scorn of Tools, just like you. That is not good for business, so closing is easier, and more cost effective.

. Where were all you germaphobes during H1N1-SARS?
Don't let facts get in the way of your statement. US Deaths from H1N1 for the year 2009-10 12,469. Covid deaths in the 5 months of activity this year 162M.
I'm assuming you meant to say 162k. But we all know that number is highly inflated (die in a car crash but test positive for Covid means Covid death). What we don't know, and probably never will, is how many suicide deaths can be attributed directly to the measures taken to "stop the spread." Or how many deaths/health issues have occurred from people avoiding preventative care due to restrictions. Hospitals are laying off staff. We truly have reached the point where the cure is worse than the disease.
That's not how it works. If you believe medical professionals are doing this your insane.

Why would other countries want to cripple their economies?

This goes into the hall of fame of posts on this forum. Bravo. This worldwide conspiracy has been done just so the libs can try to get rid of Trump.....Don't you get it?

Look buckaroo, no one is happy about any of this. But thinking that we're delighted BG football is toast this year and that humanity is in turmoil is asinine. And lashing out and calling me names because your feelings are hurt isn't going to change anything. Neither is pretending that this thing isn't a big deal and that if we ignore it everything will be fine. Every one of our industrialized allies and 70% of your fellow countrymen think this is a problem; yet you and the remaining 30% of the country think this is all overblown BS. So here we are, arguing over whether I delight in the closing of the Brathaus. Anyone else see the irony here?

They've already admitted it multiple times. Dieing WITH Covid is classified the same as dieing FROM Covid. And Wood County Hospital laid off 13 employees last week.

Who are they? Why are "they" testing bodies from car accidents for Covid?

And Why Aren't they telling these people who are doing testing and saying they aren't all Covid excess deaths? https://www.heart.org/en/news/2020/07/1 ... m-covid-19" target="_blank

At this point I'm either get with it or you're part of the problem. It's obvious no one is going to take the risk of sports, concerts, whatever the mass gathering is right now as long as a sect of society refuses to do their part.

It's a freaking virus and the fact that this country can't get it under control for a multitude of reasons is a sad commentary of how dysfunctional things have become.
