What hubris to say that we would have a novel virus "under control" if only those deplorables who disagree with me wouldn't make up their own mind and instead do exactly what I want! No one has ever controlled the flu or the common cold before; what discovery has been made in the past six months that would control any similar virus? How is that discovery so incontrovertible that you have the temerity to proclaim a definitive solution?jpfalcon09 wrote:It's a freaking virus and the fact that this country can't get it under control for a multitude of reasons is a sad commentary of how dysfunctional things have become.
And don't tell me that "under control" means that there can still be some cases. If it's too dangerous to society for a 20-year-old All-American football player to have the virus, it's too dangerous for anyone.
