High School sports move forward....
Re: High School sports move forward....
Unrelated note - the past two night the football stadium lights have been on, any idea why? Football practices? Seems like a waste of electric to practice under the lights, when school hasn’t started yet.

Scrimmages under the lights, news coverage locally was like week 1 of a normal regular season

Flip hit it right on the button. No matter what side you take, you will PO about half of your fans. Just not an Intellegent decision. Stay out of politics and religion discussion and you will be a lot better off.

And potentially also recruits. I don't care the political angle, it is not wise for a college coach to be publicly supporting an opinion on the topic of the day.factman wrote:Flip hit it right on the button. The lights have been on at Doyt Perry stadium for freshman move-in activities. Like carnival games, bouncey castles, and other inflatables. It has nothing to do with shut down BGSU Football.

Good luck with the enforcement of that. Especially after willingly bringing students back to campus for the money, after deeming it not safe to have athletics. This is the same BGSU that would not disclose any COVID testing results when athletes began returning to campus. Then athletes complained they weren’t being tested publicly. The messaging is always all over the map, and hypocrisy always comes out in the end.

Bait and switch....get them on campus, take their money and then send them home without a refund when "cases" (not actual disease) spike because there was widespread violation of impossibly Byzantine rules 're contact.

Bob will be doing a zoom call at 6pm tonight. If anyone joins the Zoom call can you ask him if when he “budgeted” his 21 million in revenue for the year, if he considered the pandemic at all. Or was that just used to get rid of baseball. Also, ask him if he feels it’s appropriate to pay himself and his assistants off student fees, while athletics are shut down. One last question. What has BGSU’s highest paid employee been doing to help the students funding his salary in the shut down? Directing traffic? Inflating inflatables?
Re: High School sports move forward....
One more question for Bob... when choosing not to report athletes who tested positive this summer, specifically Men’s Soccer, did BGSU consider possible suspension or expulsion of those athletes? Also, shouldn’t BGSU students & families moving in have been made aware of this?

Sorry I couldn’t make it, I had other obligations. Did Bob discuss the positive COVID cases?

Re: High School sports move forward....
I was on zoom yesterday, left after 40 + min. Or so. At THAT time there had been NO time for questions. About 5-6 staff did talking, mostly of the time spent on THE PLAN (100 pgs). Frankly was pretty boring with details we really didn’t need the specifics for. I don’t know if the audience got time to ask questions, or if they eventually got around to answering prior submissions. I know I’d askEd if ALL kids were tested, if so how many positives etc. so I didn’t see an answer.
