Is there a really weird hitch in his throw or is that just me? Seems like his wind up to release takes forever.

It's Tebow-esque

At least it won't be a shutout. Last shutout in conference play? Uh ... I have no idea. Really disappointing seeing that drive fizzle after the big throw.

Kicking that FG was lame. Totally lame. Just go for the TD and see if you can score. What difference does it make if they put 3 on the board? This program has been an unmitigated disaster for years; try to get reps in for growth.

As for that series: BG was a disorganized mess, and I've noticed that there is a huge lack of discipline in so many areas. I am hoping that's a by-product of the disjointed practice schedule leading up to football coming back, and not a symptom of something systemic.

By the way...I hate these uniforms. We are not Penn State. Wear one of your primary colors either in the pants or the jersey.

Darren Anders has some legit talent. He is at the ball almost every play and has made some great tackles. A couple of missed ones, too, but he will be a great defensive leader in the future.

Anders has flashed some talent but McDonald has no business on a Div I field. What in the world has he shown in practice to make them so high on him? His wind up, mechanics, touch and accuracy are horrific.

Silver lining is the defense looks much improved.

I noticed it on his first series. It’s an awful delivery. He has a long windup and drops the ball and shoulder. It’s going to give guys extra time to sack him and for guys to jump his passing lanes. I’ve heard so much hype about him and this is very disappointed. His passing “form” is making Loy’s form look like a prototype passing QB. He’s awful.

22 months after Loeffler, a former quarterback was hired, this is the QB play. Atleast you have his head coaching experience to feel good about. Oh wait...

BGSUCKS.......still. This is why I wasn't disappointed when the season was first cancelled. I thought I'd be spared of this misery. Then the MAC came back, and so did this pathetic program. It's just more of the same. Is it basketball season yet???.....

Surprised most are just noticing McDonald throwing motion.

Very rusty performance even though he received most of the one reps last year. Even after not getting his waiver, continued to get one reps over Wade and Loy.

I noticed it on his first throw. He's also 8 for 30 passing right now. That's not a typo.

Rusty is the word I use for McDonald. The throwing mechanics are rusty. If he's completing a lot of throws, it doesn't really matter. Jacobs had an odd throwing motion but it didn't matter because the guy hit anyone anywhere on the field. McDonald missed some very routine throws. Rusty. Hopefully will improve. And generally slow reads and release.

I was more worried about the offensive discombobulation in general. Generally poor blocking hurt everything. The offense being all out of sync in front of the goal line was embarrassing. That's on the coaches. Just bad performance by the offense.

Defense is improved. Hard saying that when the score is so lopsided. But true. They stopped UT on I think four straight drives to close the half. Obviously trending in the right direction. Considering they gave up 800 rushing yards in the final two last year, not sure I want to know what trending in the wrong direction looks like.

I caught the second and third. Turned it off for the fourth. Didn't miss much apparently.
