And if he were here do you know what his record would be right now? 3-10, at best.

Most undisciplined team I have ever seen.

Maybe? But he sure as hell wouldn’t look this bad doing it.

Kent had 7 first half drives and scored on 6 of them. The one stop was a missed FG at end of half and the drive began via BG fumble.

Ouch.

Could Loeffler & staff actually be worse than Jinks w Pelini?

Some guys who made plays in the first half for us:

Broden - redshirt freshman
Raymore - true freshman
Embry - redshirt freshman
Anders - sophomore

Forced them into a 4th down situation at least 3 times and just couldn’t quite get a stop. That, in and of itself, is progress. Small, but true.

Gonna take a while for a young program to develop. Loeffler has been saying this is a 5-year job from the start.

I’m staying along for the ride, because I believe we can get things figured out. Need to be more disciplined, and that’ll come with more experience. Gotta be better, man. Hoping to see more (incremental) progress by the end of the year.

Any coach of caliber lower than Urban Meyer would struggle. I'm not sure I've ever seen a program killed as badly as what Jinks did to BG. Every single possible problem was there ...
- players in jail
- attrition rate
- minimal player development
- coaches getting into bar fights
- poor player discipline on and off field
- miserable conditioning
- complete lack of fundamental football skills
- best season was 4-8
- defense that couldn't stop FCS teams. Three of them.

When a coach gets fired, you expect some of the above problems to be there. But all of them? Remember, the previous fired coach was Brandon. Jinks had all the off the field problems that Brandon had. But Brandon's worst record was the same as Jinks' best. Point is, Loeffler inherited the worst dumpster fire of a program I can recall and it takes four or more years to build a good program. So plug in any coach other than Loeffler and the only major difference you would get is fans on this page would be mad at a coach not named Loeffler.

And I'll say this again. Let's reevaluate next year. If there's no progress, then there's reason for concern.

I mentioned Brian McClure before. If you can do a search ( don’t know to forward it), the News-herald has a great article on McClure and the 1985 BG team. Reg. Season unbeaten, one of only a couple MAC teams in past 40 yrs. not sure why this was written but fun looking back to a special team and even more special player, still a lifetime FALCON.

Todd Walker just mentioned both the 2017 and 2018 classes have had 50% attrition. 30% already for the 2019 class.

If you fail to understand why the program is where it is after reading that I can't help you. It's going to take a long time to fix this.

The program is where it is because of awful hiring. Yes. What has happened from there are excuses.

You cannot punt in that situation. This is going to be a long rebuild. There is zero developed talent on this team. If there is no improvement in year three then it’s time to panic but obviously the coaching staff has no faith in these guys.

There's no guarantees at Year 3 either.

If #15 takes another snap this year, they should be fired. 4 personal fouls in two games, for a special teams guy.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.
