[quote="guest44"]The program is where it is because of awful hiring. Yes. What has happened from there are excuses.[

You gotta put Keller in and see what he can do at this point, no? Not assuming he’d be better, but he surely couldn’t be worse than 3/13.

Don’t want to say “told you so”. But this kid is flat out strong. Averaged something like 9 yds per Carry ( not sure of that). But short, bowling ball type RB. Different from our usual starters.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
Re: Kent St. -18 at Bowling Green
Our feature back for years to come. We have great FR and RS-FR. takes time to develop most but we will be fine. Remember how there was a lot of sky was falling with Clawson. This will be better because we have a MUCH better staff Trolls (guest 44)—-never played collegiate sports—-don’t get it——that’s ok.

I really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but McDonald is just not a very good quarterback. It’s time to give the freshmen a look.

Kent State just hung 62 on us in back-to-back years. Let that sink in for a minute......

We're four points improved from last year! Of course Kent is also a better team.
And I'll again point out that I was advocating for advancing Sean Lewis to head coach when Babers left.

You loved the Mike Jinks hire....MarkL wrote:We're four points improved from last year! Of course Kent is also a better team.

Wonder if the MAC is on notice yet?

I do not believe Riley Keller went in yesterday at all. If he's ready he absolutely should have to gain some experience. And the fact he is 2 on the depth chart suggests he is indeed ready. Not playing him is puzzling.

He is firmly #3 with Melton injured. Davis is out for a week on medical.MarkL wrote:I do not believe Riley Keller went in yesterday at all. It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

This is my biggest complain about the games so far. Very undisciplined. My understanding of the Loeffler hire was that he was a stickler for such things. Yet here we are. I can't imagine why any team can be this bad at pre-snap formations in the second game of a season.hammb wrote:I don't see where this team has talent anywhere. Not one position group looks to play at the same speed as KSU or UT.drumstix2388 wrote:This offensive line is just absolutely horrid. So is the secondary.
But the ridiculous amount of procedure penalties and offside penalties are just inexcusable. Well coached teams do not commit 8+ presnap penalties in a half of football.
I was really hopeful of one win before this game...now I'm wondering if that will happen. Can Akron really be worse than what we're seeing?
