vs. Buffalo

Post by jpfalcon09 »

7pm on CBSSN. Hope to see some improvement. UB is the best team in the East so I don't expect this game to be particularly close. Jaret Patterson is likely going to play in the NFL so the defense is going to have it's hands full.

Go Falcons.

It's gonna be tough. I'm hoping they've put some effort into getting lined up quicker and squashing the pre-snap penalties.

Regardless, I'm not expecting it to be close. Just need to see us moving forward and improving incrementally.

My prediction. The team fixes two mistakes. One, more success with the passing game - better accuracy and fewer drops. And two, fewer penalties on offense.

Also my prediction. The team introduces at least two new frustrating mistakes.

I don't think we've ever seen a Bowling Green team with so many youngsters trying to learn college football at once. It will be interesting in that sense.

The father of Buffalo's QB is a Bowling Green man through and through. I saw in another forum that he seemed confident that Scot Loeffler would turn it around, that it would just take time. He noted that the pandemic has perhaps made it somewhat tougher to mold new behavior by limiting players' ability to interact with each other and with coaches. (I don't have what he said in front of me, so perhaps I'm not capturing what he said to the letter, but I think that was the idea.) Given the window he has on MAC football right now, it was an interesting perspective.

There are some behind scenes issues this week that won’t help tonight, not sure if they will acknowledge it.... If we don’t bury ourselves with early mistakes, I hope we keep it close. I hope to see replacements if the same mistakes continue. The bad part is, sometimes people don’t learn. It will be cold, hope Buffalo doesn’t run wild.

Given what year it is -- why would we expect anything less?

I expect tonight to be ugly. Very, very ugly.

Hopefully this isn't in regards to some tweets I saw alluding to a sexual assault in BG last week?

EDIT: It appears that it is not. That was involving students involved with an on campus organization.

It’s temporary, not nefarious, but May f this week up. Publishing now makes it potentially worse for the game. Guest44 might call Buffalo with intel, to get back at Kit.

How many players have Covid rogue? Buffalo doesn't need intel, we have VanGorder, that's all they need.

Strack just tweeted that there are four BG coaches in isolation due to contact tracing, so I assume the cat is out of the bag.

That’s it. The entire group normally up in the box. Were Out all week. Not sure who will be up there, or how they will divide duty. Can’t help for in game help or adjustments, subs, etc.

Has the NCAA ruled if this happens can quality control guys can now coach?

Glad it’s coaches and not players being out unless something else gets announced soon.
