I'm going to tonight's game!! (sortof - UB at BGSU)

Post by LSUinFindlay »

Hi again folks, I'm the guy that moved here recently and started a thread back in January about attending 2020 Mac Football. Well, I just left campus (and the stadium area) and was talking to some folks there, including some in quite high "authority" and I mentioned how I recently moved here and love college football and badly want to see a Falcon home game.

So I was told that a few fans showed up last time with camping chairs and were sitting at the fence-line of the south endzone, and these two individuals did not believe the practice was a problem, nor that it would be ended for tonight.

SO I am gonna do that tonight, possibly with my wife and/or possibly with a friend here in Findlay. Any of you fine folks interested in joining me? If you do, I will definitely be wearing tan pants and a light-purple "North Face" cap and probably a purple LSU coat/jacket. I answer to "JP" so say hi!

And yea, I am dressing warmly!! I need to dig into the winter gear for some layers I may not have worn since living in Moscow!! For me having been in Louisiana and Texas most of the last couple decades, the forecast of 32-F and high winds is pretty darned cold!!

BTW, this will be my second-ever MAC home game. The first one, a decade ago, was BGSU at Buffalo. Hence one reason I want to go to this one so badly.

Also, here's my original thread:

It was worth it to see some live CFB. Made it to halftime then we couldn't get to my (local) friend's truck fast enough. That cold moist north wind for 90 minutes was just too much. And at 21-3, less motivation. But we made it to downtown BG for a beer and dinner. What a fun little town; we'll be back

If the food trucks were not parked just beyond south endzone, the view would have been far better. Met a student-photographer trying for good photos too; some good conversations.

All in all, was a memorable and worthwhile Tuesday evening!

Glad you got to check out BG! Assuming a normal world has returned by next fall, hopefully you'll get to do some real tailgating. It's certainly smaller than LSU's but one of the friendliest tailgates in America. If they allow fans at hockey games at some point this season, you have to check that out, too.
BG '10

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.
