Re: @ Appalachian State (11/30)
The guy had a wide open shot. That was nuts.
Re: @ Appalachian State (11/30)
Terrible call takes away an and-one opportunity for BG. Juice could've put us up 6, but instead it stays at 3.

Re: @ Appalachian State (11/30)
Metheny forces a 3 on one end, then draws an offensive foul at the other. When he becomes consistent, he's going to be really good for us.

FIELDS TRIPLE!
It put us up 4 with 18 seconds left.
Now 8 seconds to go, BG leads 77-73. App State ball out of a timeout.

I underrated Fields big time. He is a great glue guy who can score some too.
Re: @ Appalachian State (11/30)
Huge huge huge shot by Fields.
Re: @ Appalachian State (11/30)
That was as much of a "no no no no...YES!" shot as I've ever seen.hammb wrote:Huge huge huge shot by Fields.

They didn't really show many replays but looked awful. I thought he side stepped and the dude floppedmbenecke wrote:Terrible call takes away an and-one opportunity for BG. Juice could've put us up 6, but instead it stays at 3.
Re: @ Appalachian State (11/30)
App State hits a triple and Juice goes to the line with 4.7 seconds left in OT, with BG leading 77-76.
Juice makes the first... and misses the second.
App State misses the heave and BG wins in OT, 78-76.
What a game!

Re: @ Appalachian State (11/30)
We win.
We do so much dumb stuff it's amazing to me. Guys wide open, shoot super early on the shot clock. I don't get it at all. But we win! If they cut that out we are a very good team. Undersized but who isn't (Final 5 were Methany-Turner-Fields-Diggs-Plowden).
Turner with 25.
Diggs and Plowden with 10
Swingle with 9
Methany with 8
Fields with 7 including a huge three.

I missed the first part of the game, but Swingle kills them when he's out there. He rebounds way smaller than his size, can't defend, clogs the lane on offense, and doesn't have great hands. At least twice he badly failed to box out on free-throws and got bailed out by the player making the shot. Huger's instance on playing him is going to cost us games this year.

....and yesterday was one of his better games. He's 6-10 at plays at 6-4
Jacob Washington should be getting those minutes.

Agreed. I think he could be a good player because he seems to have nice touch when he has space, but it looks like he needs to drop weight and build muscle to be more effective.BleedOrange wrote:naandre wrote:I missed the first part of the game, but Swingle kills them when he's out there. Re: @ Appalachian State (11/30)
I agree with all of the limitations on Swingle. But Swingle scored 9 points. He provides something no one else on the team and maybe the league can provide. Can you imagine having to be a C and bang with him and then try to guard Plowden? That's essentially what they are being asked to do. At 12-20 minutes per game he can wear down the other C. Give him 3-4 fouls.
