vs. UW Milwaukee
vs. UW Milwaukee
Currently playing tough against a VERY strong Milwaukee team who is 3-0 with a win over Marquette. Up 39-36 at halftime. Freshman Lexie Fleming leads with 13 points.

Falcons win it, 64-62!
Heck of a battle, including a comeback in the final minute.

Not to overblow a win, but this is a big sign that the tides have started to turn. Milwaukee just beat Marquette handily, who is a perennial contender in the Big East, and was 3-0 on the season against solid competition. Continually impressed by Lexie Fleming. She has a chance to be the most dominant player here since Prochaska.

She's averaging 19 points per game across her first 3 games here as a freshman. That's impressive.drumstix2388 wrote:Not to overblow a win, but this is a big sign that the tides have started to turn. Who was PG when Prochaska played. This young lady at 5’5” more like her?

Tracy Pontius? Tracy was more of a facilitator, while Lexie is more of a pure scorer.Class of 61 wrote:Who was PG when Prochaska played. This young lady at 5’5” more like her?

Thanks for the heads up on Tracy. Just couldn’t recall the name, but I thought she scored well too for a PG. just that Lauren got most of rather attention.

Re: vs. UW Milwaukee
Pontius was the second leading scorer to Prochaska their senior years averaging 12.2 PPG. Actually if you want to research prior players and years in all sports BGSUfalcons.com has most recent records for all individuals and teams. Just takes a little digging.Class of 61 wrote:Thanks for the heads up on Tracy. Re: vs. UW Milwaukee
I remember Tracy's first year as the statrting PG and some fans felt she was not playing at the same level of Kate "The Great" Achter. Kate was the half-time guest on the WBGU radio broadcast and I remember her telling the interviewer "You just give her some time and Tracy Pontius will make you forget Kate what's-her-name."Class of 61 wrote:Thanks for the heads up on Tracy. Tracy and Lauren were a good combo.
