BG (4-2) has picked up a game at Robert Morris (1-0) on Friday, December 18 at 6:00pm. RMU is in their first season in the Horizon League after going 20-14 a season ago in Northeast Conference play.
Should be a fun one. Hoping the boys come home from Pittsburgh with a W.
Go Falcons - Beat RMU!

Our coaching really leaves something to be desired. I don’t understand our rotations or our offensive scheme. It seems like a whole lot of winging it.

So far so good.
Swingle really showing flashes here and there. We need Sandra Bullock from the blindside to come in and get him angry.

I know Bobby Mo is ranked 200+ in the Ken Pom and only played one game but man if we defend and share the ball like this consistently idk who beats us in conference. Side note did anyone see swingle almost Shaq the rim early in the second half? Don’t mind the 6 steps he took to get there, but it legit looked like the hoop was about to explode.

I think that is the best game Turner has played. If we defend and share the ball like we did tonight success will come. The second half rotations were also much better than the first half. Our three freshman make a lot of mistakes but you can see the potential. Young needs to start in place of Swingle.

I disagree but might not for long. If you notice the first guy to shoot/score in pretty much every game is Swingle. Then he is a ghost. That guy is 20 pounds and some anger away from being impactful. Maybe just some anger. The two are opposites. Young is impactful but I don't think I notice him much. Swingle isn't and I think I do.Hammer wrote:I think that is the best game Turner has played. Fields is an interesting one. He is scoring a bunch more this year and it's all within the flow of the game. I completely under rated him.
At the end of the game today we had Turner-Fields-Plowden-Diggs and I think Fulcher. That seems to be the case in most games. They start with Swingle, quickly go to Washington maybe back to Swingle and then small ball.
Again I am super excited about a defiance game where I hope we play Zeigler, Young, Fulcher and Metheny.

I wasn’t able to watch this one last night, but I’ll take a 20-point road win any day.
5-2 is good, but we have to build on it. Go Falcons!

Re: @ Robert Morris (12/18)
I never thought Turner was any kind of point guard.
But averaging 5 assists and barely 1 turnover a game could make me change my mind.
The assist numbers are not great. He's not going to get you a bunch of easy or flashy scores.
But the turnover rate for a guy with his usage is outstanding. He can be a combo guard. Run the 2nd unit with some other ballhandler out there too, help keep the offense moving without doing anything to kill your momentum.
And score on top of that.
And while his shooting % are not great from and 3 right now - his FT % is outstanding and on relatively high volume. He could easily be shot doctored into a real threat at the next level.
