Well, this is disappointing news. I understand it, with his role being limited and unclear moving forward, as he's been passed by Metheny. I don't blame him for wanting to pursue his dream elsewhere. I'll root for the kid wherever he goes - super athletic and talented kid, it just never fully clicked here. I wish him the best.

Well now we have 10 scholarship players and 2 open scholarships.

For once I would love for this coaching staff to think outside the box and get ANYONE from the the ivy league or someone who is available immediately.

I’d give it a week or so. How soon we forget the Dylan Frye removal from the roster and subsequent return a week later. Removal from the roster at bgsufalcons.com means literally nothing.

Maybe he's taking a redshirt at staying? Maybe grades? Maybe he went home for the semester to deal with something. Hopefully, he's staying with t he program.

Huger was asked about this and he said it was a decision “that had to be made,” so it sounds like a disciplinary dismissal. Makes sense he’d try to keep it vague, so as not to hurt Davin’s future prospects.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Whoa. Serious bummer. Kid came in with so much potential and then just didn't get any better it seems. I hope if it IS disciplinary, that whatever he has been messing up, he learns and grows and goes on to a fulfilling life.

Wasn't he suspended at least once since being at BG?

That's disappointing to hear, and I agree, based on that comment, it sounds like it was a disciplinary reason. I felt he was a broken shot away from being a tremendous player. I liked the rest of his game and his athletic ability was off the chart. But his lack of being able to shoot from the perimeter was what was holding him back when he was on the floor for us. Still, sorry to see him go, he was still a good player and could still help us out.
