Thursday night’s win was the 998th in program history. We’re 2 away from 1,000 all-time.

Let’s get 999 tomorrow night!

Flo has started doing something weird lately. When you open Flo, you have to scroll through to find the broadcast that says "LIVE NOW." Using our Roku, the first broadcast that comes up starts at the beginning of the pregame. Last Saturday against Ferris was the first time I've noticed it happening. Happened again tonight. I was got alerts from CHN for the goals in the first period 5 minutes before they actually happened on Flo. At intermission, I backed out and found the other broadcast.

I still hold out hope the WCHA will discover it's actually a penalty to prevent a goal by putting your stick across your opponents arms.

Thanks. The game was already on in the background, so I just selected "Watch." I noticed that the game started late but thought it really did start late.
To add to the time warp, I turned on Bemidji's radio broadcast during the first period and heard the pregame show. I have had that kind of trouble before, where the broadcast is behind reality when listening in a web browser. I'd forgotten that until now. Refreshing the page has solved that problem in the past. I'll try TuneIn tomorrow.

It's gameday once again in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Would be absolutely massive to finish off this sweep tonight. We're already going to be sitting in sole-possession of first place in the WCHA regardless of the result (because the Tech-Mankato series is postponed) but it would be really nice to find ourselves with 12/12 points through 4 games, in a 14-game conference slate. These games are huge, and since you can't take games for granted in this league, you have to play to win them all.

A win tonight would match our longest win streak since the 1986-1987 season, when we won 10 in a row. That's all the motivation we need.

Go Falcons - Beat Bemidji!

Has anyone heard anything about Zach Rose? I noticed he was listed as the 3rd goaltender last night and was not dressed at least he wasn't on the ice after the game.

COVID? Disciplinary? Injury?

I also noticed that, but I don't have any more information on it. It's definitely something worth keeping an eye on tonight. You'd think he'd likely start this evening, considering we've been going back and forth so far this year.

Anybody know more about this? The box score doesn't have details.

It was a 10-minute misconduct. Left the ice because there was just over 6 minutes to play. He wouldn't be eligible again until there was about a minute left in OT.

It was an awkward hit between about 4 players (2 from each team). Cullen went down. Flo never showed a replay. I looked earlier today, and last night's game wasn't available to re-watch. In the past, the play probably would have been reviewed. There was a new directive issued this year to cut down on reviews. Unfortunately, instead of limiting the time taken, it seems to be an after thought this year.

During post-game presser, Ty said that any player who gets a misconduct goes to the locker room per team rules.
All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

I was able to watch the play again. There were 2 Bemidji players and Cullen. Cullen was pursuing the first Bemidji player behind the net when the other came from behind the net and hit him high. It was most definitely a 2 minute interference penalty as the Bemidji player had the puck and not Cullen. And it was within arms reach of the referee. Being a high hit, it was worthy of a review for a major as well.

GOAL! After Scardina knocks one off the post, Fyten cleans it up and it’s 1-0 BG with 3 minutes left in the first period.

Kruse with a gorgeous backhand to the top shelf makes it 2-0 Falcons.

It’s under review... and it stands.

2-0, BG leads with 45 seconds until the first intermission.

END OF ONE: BG leads, 2-0.

We’ll be on the PK for about 1:45 to start the second period.
