The women played at Buffalo yesterday against what is probably the best team in the league with the best player in the league. BG really played very well and even lead at halftime, but ended up falling 82-74. Buffalo has an incredible sophomore named Dyaisha Fair who dropped 36, but it felt like she scored 80. They just couldn't stop her. At 5'5" it was hard not to compare her to Lexie Fleming and get even more excited about her potential here at BG. I think Fleming/Fair will be a top rivalry over the next couple of years.
Hempfling and Parker had solid games shooting the ball, and Jasmine Clerkley played a few meaningful minutes (I think to help improve our size/strength on the court). BG dropped to 8-3 (4-2) but I came away feeling very encouraged that BG is one of the better teams in the MAC again.
