Man, Plowden is struggling today. He needs to figure it out on offense. Too many shots not even hitting the rim.

We're still in it, despite a pretty poor performance in the first half. The goal seems to now be to keep it close until the half, then make some good adjustments and play a strong 2nd half.

Thank god for our bench. Without Diggs, Fulcher, Young and C Turner I don't know that we'd have 10 points.

That last one, where he def did foul Freeman (Freeman was smart to see Swingle had his arm out insttead of up and then shoot through it) - Freeman climbed up all over Swingle's back to get that board.

HALFTIME: Akron leads, 28-21. Just an awful first half on offense - shooting 26% from the field and 28% from deep. Also just 1 of 3 from the free throw line. Hard to win when you play that way.

Turner and Fulcher lead the way with 7 points each. Like I said, I need more from Plowden - just 2 points on 1/7 from the field. Not up to his standards, and I bet he'd be the first one to admit that.

My biggest adjustments for the 2nd half? Go over screens instead of getting stuck to them defensively, settle in, and make a damn basket at the other end.

Swingle never GETS fouled because he's a big body in there. They get officiated differently, especially in today's game. He's got to play really, really disciplined to not foul out, and I'm not sure if he's able to do that consistently enough. If he could, that would be just absolutely massive for this team.

BG scored just 2 points in the final 7 minutes of the half. That's not gonna cut it. This team has been flat out, well, flat the last couple home games. They need to come out swinging in the second half.

Ah, here's the key stat: They're out-rebounding us, 29-17. We need to tighten that gap in the 2nd half to win this one.

He reaches and is never straight up. Blows my mind he just can’t seem to stand up straight and put his arms up. Drives me absolutely nuts. Might be ticky tacky calls but when a guy that big constantly reaches, refs will call it.

BG finds themselves down 12 all of a sudden. We just give up so much easy stuff defensively, and we aren't a very good team when we can't make shots. Beyond frustrating.

BG had gotten back in the lead, but Akron just went up 48-45 on a three.

We're under 8 minutes to play in the 2nd half. We're close - just need to make some baskets and be smart down the stretch. Can't afford to give them anything easy.
