Signing day
Well, it’s soon upon us ... Wednesday, feb. 3, is what used to be the BIGGEST recruiting date, which now takes 2nd fiddle to the December signing. But a lot of fine football players can still be found.. not sure how many BG can sign ( I’ve heard 3-4). So it’ll be interesting to see, especially if we get into the portal group.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)

Re: Signing day
The early signing period has kind of killed the "real" signing day, with basically everyone signing early.
We signed 20 guys back in December, plus a transfer, bringing the class to 21 of a possible 25. I'm pretty sure Loeffler said we're going to fill out the rest of our class with transfers (with a good amount of eligibility left) now
But I feel good about this class. The measured quality of players is actually better than last year, when you look at 247's average commit rating for our class. I think Tae'Shaun Johnson is going to be a star here, and we got better both in the trenches and at skill positions. I'm excited to see them contribute soon.

Re: Signing day
Two of our Florida decomits who spoke glowingly about BG's recruiting process then mysteriously decommitted within a relative short period of time signed today. I think it is a step back for both. RB Chris Phillips finally signed with Ferris State and QB Jacory Jordan signed with Florida A&M.

Re: Signing day
Agreed. Jacory Jordan was getting some hype as a potential ACC prospect so I think he decommitted prematurely and then the dream offer didn't come in. He even tweeted last night that he was still looking for the right fit, so I'm guessing he is feeling like he "settled." I don't know what the deal was with Phillips. FAMU is at least a very solid FCS program with a great coach, but Ferris State is D-II. That's a pretty big drop.fredthefalcon wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 10:02 pm Two of our Florida decomits who spoke glowingly about BG's recruiting process then mysteriously decommitted within a relative short period of time signed today. We decided Jordan wasn't the right fit for us. easy to decommit when you don't have an offer anymore. Don't know about Phillips but if he signed at Ferris, there's a good chance we did the same with him. A lot of decommits come from theschool choosing to back away first.BillyLP wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 10:42 pmAgreed.
