Obviously not a great showing on the road last night, losing 4-0.

But we’re still 16-5-0, we still sit 2nd in the WCHA, and we still have a chance to salvage a split against the #6 team in the nation and cut their lead in the WCHA standings back down to 2 points. Need to be better on special teams and, I dunno, score a goal or two?

Time to shake it off quick and get back on the horse - tonight is another massive opportunity.

Luckily the team has won against a lot of mediocre competition and played well enough against some better teams. In a normal year with everyone playing out of conference games we’d be on the bubble at best. Getting a split would be big...the program hasn’t had a piece of a conference championship since 1988.

BG is now down 4-0 after 2.

Just an ugly, demoralizing weekend all around. Need to get home in the worst way.

Humbling weekend. Mavs are an elite team and it showed. BG played better tonight but the wheels fell off again quickly.

Brawl to end the game after a cheap hit by Cullen. Would not be shocked if he's suspended.

We just showed more effort and fight with 26 seconds left in the game. After a ugly penalty on us and Minnesota didn't like it, and seemed like a total frustration hit started several minor skirmishes. Which resulted in several game misconduct and ejections on both sides. Brutal way to end the weekend and how to react after getting our ass kicked both nights. We may be down a few guys next Friday night.

That hit by Cullen will be remembered I'm sure if we are fortunate to make it back there in the playoffs for the final. Cullen may be out weekend. Lack of composure on his part.

BG scored on a major power play midway through the 3rd.

Very dumb move on Cullen, I hope that Eigner suspends him before the league does. Very disappointed with Cullen and the results of the weekend. The coaches have a lot of work to do this week.

With it being his third game misconduct of the season, he’s automatically going to be suspended for Friday night.

As I said, I didn’t get to watch either game this weekend, but if it was as ugly as everyone is saying, I’d tell him not to bother dressing either night next weekend. Really sucks, because those games are extremely important for us to be winning now, but sometimes you have to make a point.

I think this team is going to be fine. We’re still 2nd in the league, still 16-6-0, and still a borderline top 10 team. I’m fairly certain we’re going to make the NCAA tournament barring a total collapse, which I don’t feel is coming. We just ran into a team that’s clearly better than us, mostly because of the difference in execution on special teams and in net. Dryden McKay is absurdly dominant, and Mankato may be destined for a one seed. No shame in losing to them - just means we need to work that much harder to catch them and keep the rest of the field behind us.

Craggs suspended one game for the fighting DQ. Cullen suspended for 3 games by the WCHA.

What a bad weekend. Not only lost both, but were out worked significantly both games. Mankato was ready to go...BG was not.
